Crap, Heath Ledger found dead

The NY Times is reporting a masseuse arrived at his apartment and was let in the door by a housekeeper, who then knocked on the door of Mr. Ledger's bedroom. When no one answered, the housekeeper and the masseuse opened the bedroom door and found Mr. Ledger unconscious. They attempted to wake him, and when they couldn't they called 911.

We're told when paramedics responded, the actor was in full cardiac arrest. They attempted to perform CPR on him, but were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Here's the way it went down. A cleaning lady for Heath arrived at the apartment first, followed soon thereafter by a masseuse. They both entered the room at around the same time and discovered Heath's lifeless body.

The cleaning lady called police. The masseuse, we're told, called the bodyguard for the Olsens. She called him because they're friends and he's an EMT. The bodyguard was around the block at Ashley's and he immediately went over. By the time he arrived, the cops were already there.

We're also told it appeared Heath "had been dead for a while" and there were no visible signs of trauma. There was a pill bottle on the nightstand.

I dunno, I can't say I have much sympathy for the guy. None of us would care if we hadn't seen him in a few movies; he'd just be another rich junkie who partied too hard.

Uh... I'm still glad this happened after the Batman movie finished filming, though. That movie is going to kick ass.

I think he finally watched Brokeback Mountain or something. But seriously, if he was stupid enough to think that his life was bad enough (SERIOUSLY, he was discovered when HIS HOUSEKEEPER was telling him that HIS MASSAGE THERAPIST was ready for him) to OD and kill himself, then I couldn't care less. Call me a dick if you want, but I think suicide is as selfish as someone can get. And I can't understand how his life could have been that bad.

Anyone who commits suicide obviously has some deep seeded mental issues and i honestly don't give a shit if you're rich or not... Something is obviously wrong to a severe degree if suicide is your only way out... I'm not saying it's not a coward's way out of specific situations, but if someone is so distraught to the point where they think this is necessary, then that is a pitiful situation no matter who you are.

I just started watching the Patriot on Sunday for the first time ever and I just realized how good of an actor he really is... It's a shame to see, and I feel badly for his daughter who is going to grow up without a father now and be forever known as the daughter of the guy who killed himself with sleep pills.

Not that I am promoting suicide, but Heath did have a reason or at least motive to commit suicide. His wife and child were no longer with him along with some other issues I believe were what drove him over the edge.

I suppose you're right. It's funny how we tend to attach ourselves emotionally to these celebrities. Still, it is a sad thing when anyone does this to himself/herself. Of course who knows if this was even a suicide anyway. We'll probably find out soon though.

I just heard on the news that it seems to be an accidental overdose. So we will just have to wait for the tests and info to know more.

That's actually very touching music. I've heard the main part from movie previews (haven't seen the movie), but the entire song makes me feel kind of sad. I'd download it but then everyone would think I'm obsessed with Brokeback Mountain. Can't have that. I have to be manly.

If you're referring to be about the Brokeback Music, I was joking. Believe it or not, you're actually the one who made me start to turn 180° about my views on homosexuality.

Nah, I wasn't talking about the Brokeback Mountain CD. It's just upsetting for people to jump on the "he killed himself" wagon just to be able to comment on this death and speculate even more.
