I'd be willing to bet that SVU (with Benson) and CI (with Eames) had better ratings than the "regular" Law & Order, and some sort of research suggested that it was because of the female roles...thus we have a new "leading" female in Law & Order. Agree? Disagree? I know there's been talk that Benson draws a large lesbian following...even though she's not openly or even hinted to be lesbian.

As I said, she isn't openly or even hinted to be lesbian on the show. Lesbians are likely more drawn to the fact that she has short hair, sits with her legs spread...both considered lesbian "characteristics"....and things of that nature.

Hmmm, I would have never thought that Benson appealed to a lesbian audience. Strange, I really love that show though~great chemistry between her and Stabler.
My favorite has to be CI though, with ummm, I can't think of his name. The guy that alot of people think is kinda weird.
I really DO NOT like CI with the new people (Mr. Big from Sex and the City and the other girl). I really don't like the girl, she just gets on my nerves for some reason.
