It's not too early to discuss. Vote for who you think will win the upcoming democratic presidential nomination. If you think another candidate [i4f9a714910]should [/i4f9a714910]get the nom then discuss it in your post but vote for whom you think [i4f9a714910]will [/i4f9a714910]get nominated. Let's try to have an actual honest to goodness civil discussion here wink

I [ia1f71e2d7d]want[/ia1f71e2d7d] Dennis Kucinich to win, of course, but it will most likely be Hilary.

I'm a moderate conservative, but none of the front runners on the GOP ticket are moderate enough for me. So I don't know who the hell I'll vote for. I'm not one to throw away a vote on principal -- I try to figure out the person with at least a chance to win that most closely fits my ideals. And it's going to be hard this time around... ?

I was very amused when in a recent speech Barack asked the audience, "Do you want Oprah as vice president? (cheers) You do realize that would be a step down for her, right?" lol

[bed8c51d747]The Iowa primaries are tomorrow! [/bed8c51d747] I don't know about you but these tight races are extremely exciting and fascinating. According to the latest poll[=http//www.desmoinesregister.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080102/NEWS09/801020376]latest poll by the Des Moines Register, Obama has pulled ahead with a sizable lead. Will he pull off the upset of the century tomorrow? And will a win in this first primary give the winner a huge leap over the others? How many candidates do you expect to drop out soon?

Kucinich asked his supporters to support Obama, [i38805b7802]in Iowa[/i38805b7802], not in any other states.

I can't get over the fact there aren't more Chris Dodd supporters out there. He has consistently stood for policies I believe in

http//www.issues2000.org/Chris_Dodd.htm

And he recently managed to postpone a vote which would have granted retroactive immunity to the telecom industry for helping the government to spy on citizens without judicial authorization

http//blog.wired.com/27bstroke6/2007/12/dodd-filibuster.html

I know he's not as sexy to the media as some of the front runners, but he's no Kucinich either.

[b82154338f1]Barack Obama has won the Iowa Democratic caucus, [/b82154338f1] pulling off one of the greatest political feats in recent memory. All hell is going to break loose now.

On a related note can you imagine the crapstorm Hillary is going to vent tonight in private?! Probably on Bill! lol

I caucused for Obama.. but it was quite a toss up for me between him and Edwards. Obama had better food at his side of the caucus though..

Living in Des Moines sucked the last couple weeks, all of the candidates spend wayyyyy too much money campaigning here for the Iowa caucus. My cell phone and house phone rang off the hook constantly. I received 10+ mailings per day more than once.... which were often something like 3 for Hillary, 3 for Edwards, 3 for Obama, and 1 for Richardson... ALL IN 1 DAY.

At least now that the caucus is over ill get some rest until july or august from this stuff.

I'd like to see an Obama/Edwards ticket but I think we'll be seeing Clinton/Richardson or something of that sort. Too bad I'm not 18 till May so I can't vote in the primary. Clinton looks pretty far ahead in California though but we'll see what happens.

Lots of attacks in the debate tonight. In the Republican debate, I feel that Ron Paul was constantly almost taunted and not given a fair chance. In the Democratic debate, it was a tag team of Obama and Edwards vs Clinton. I think that Obama might have slightly tarnished his image of "change," and came off of as snide with his comment that Hillary was likable also. I think Hillary came off as a bit too strong though.

Yeah, I was pleased with the GOP results, not so much with the Dems. Obama's performance in Iowa had given me hope that he would maintain momentum. Obama is my backup against an unsatisfactory GOP choice. ?

[quote7b7d8647b9="CNN.com"]Which of the candidates claiming primary wins in New Hampshire would be more likely to get your vote for president?
Sen. Hillary Clinton 51% 28425
Sen. John McCain 49% 27270
Total Votes 55695
[/quote7b7d8647b9][quote7b7d8647b9="doylnea"]Not for nothing, but I'd argue that if Obama had won NH, and the same poll was conducted, you'd see vastly skewed results in the direction of Obama on the order of 4-6% points (which should be out of the margin of error).[/quote7b7d8647b9]

I still like Hillary though (although I understand why many don't) and happy she won NH. What a nail biter that was.

Did you guys see the sweet multi-touch screen they were using on CNN?
