Help a guy understand Paintballing a little better.

Hey guys I just recently went out paintballing for the first time last saturday and wow I frekin love it. It was my first time, I borrowed my friends gun and I'm actually not that bad at it! Hrmm I was thinking about getting a gun but I have no idea what I should get.

When we went I guess it would be called woods balling? Well I'll prolly be playing mostly that but what I would really like to do is start up a team and do tournaments and such. So idk I think my price range is around $150-$200. Maybe someone would be nice enough to fill me in on the must knows of paintballing?

Ion, spend more if you want a better gun.

If your going to be playing mostly woodsball I would go with a tippmann 98 custom.

Its also one of the most upgradable guns on the market, with amazing replacment parts availability. Tippmann is also very very good about sending out OEM parts as worrenty replacements.

Most of the time they wont even ask you about your worrenty information, they'll just ask what part you need and then send it out FREE and quite fast less than a week usually.

Yea I would go with a tippmann 98C kit to start. I think you can find them for around 200. Comes with the basics.

My best buddy was in an amateur league and he started our with a Tippman 98 Custom and he swears by it. Definitely the way to go for starters but you need to remember that air and paint can get really expensive.

Ions are better on papper than 98c's but there not known for there reliability and that can be a problem for newbs field stripping for them isn't great for them and that makes them not ideal for woods play, but there not really ment for woodsball to start with they are ment for speedball.

Also keep in mind they run on air not co2 and unlike the tippmann they can't run on both air and co2 just air. If its a woodsball field your playing at, alot of them olny fill co2 or charge quite bit more for air.
