It's up in Irvine and other Southern Orange County areas as well.

My house is 10 minutes from Irvine. And the fire is heading towards my city.

The entire sky is a big greyish black and ash has been falling from the sky as well. This is worse than the fire back in 2003, and that one wasn't even near my city. This whole deal has a lot of people tensed up...please keep everyone in this area in your prayers...

I took a couple of pictures a couple hours ago of the fire smoke from the top of my hill. I'm at work now, but I can upload them later tonight. It's much worse at my job (in Anaheim). I'm inside and I can smell the smoke and ash, and there's a lot of ash all over the ground. Some of my friends have already evacuated their homes. Thanks for your concerns!

I'll get the pics up later

yeah it's crazy. I have to head to anaheim on saturday too, so hopefully I'll make it down there.

I know a few people that have had to evacuate (one had a really nice house too!). So yeah, I'm keeping everyone in my prayers. My grandma lives in the valencia area near magic mountain and the fire is extremely close to magic mountain.

The fire has started to be contained. The winds have died down and planes can now fly over the fires to dump water and such. That's a relief.

I took some pictures today, and then tried to get a good one of the fire tonight, but my camera isn't that great and it came out bad. I'll still show it, but it looked a lot brighter and scarier from my eyes than it will from the last picture.

All of you guys that are effected by this are in my prayers. My wife and I had to evacuate when Katrina hit New Orleans and this disaster over in Cali kind of rekindles the fear and uncertainty that we had to deal with over 2 years ago.

Lets just hope Bush learned from his mistakes dealing with the aftermath of Katrina, and gets this taken care of quick and efficiently.

Hope all goes well and the fires get put out soon. By the sounds of things on the news in the UK, the fires are getting more under control now as the winds die down a little.

Hope the fires get put out before more house go up in smoke.
