I typically keep my political positions to myself around here, but as the campaigns are starting to heat up, I'm getting more and more excited. What America needs now more than ever is a candidate who is serious about change, and I believe there is one candidate that can deliver that change.

He isn't a "mainstream" candidate, but he is a straight-talker with an honest view of America's condition and a well-articulated plan for the future.

Please (if you don't want to be banned) visit the homepage of [b0c53e9c2a0]Lee L. Mercer for United States President[/b0c53e9c2a0][=http//www.mercerforpresident2008.com/home.html][b0c53e9c2a0]Lee L. Mercer for United States President[/b0c53e9c2a0] and join me as a grassroots supporter.

I know you will be tempted to click first on "Donate Now," but I encourage you to familiarize yourself with Mercer's "current issues" section. Trust me, you will appreciate each dollar you send his way that much more.

Damn. Now that's what I call a straight-talker.

I know that is exactly the kind of subtle and nuanced thinking that John Kerry got hammered for, but the fact is that America is ready for an intellectual leader.

And how exactly does he propose to regulate the regulation of regulations? Hmmm?

He had my vote up until then, but now I'm not so sure...

Stephen T. Colbert FTW!!!!

haha no but seriously.

So far I am liking Ron Paul. I agree with keith that America is ready for an intellectual leader but I still think it is a little too early for me to tell. My opinion will most likely change leading up to the election.

I already decided to vote for Colbert, thanks anyways.

Ron Paul 2008[=http//www.ronpaul2008.com/]Ron Paul 2008!

http//youtube.com/watch?v=FG2PUZoukfA

In a field of Republicans with no clear front-runner and many undecided, the only anti-war candidate, Ron Paul, is the only one who really has a shot. He raised over $5,000,000 in Quarter 3... has the 3rd most cash on hand and is definitely on an up-slope in the media and the polls. Check out that youtube video, look him up on google... you'll be impressed. He's one of the most honest and principled man in Washington. He's the only person that will deliver real change... and we need a new direction in this country.

Also, there is a Republican Debate tomorrow (Sunday) from 8-930 on Fox News.

this sounds like the same guy who had all the different retarded lawsuits, listing everything from Skittles to the Great Wall of China as witnesses or whatever...

I won't vote for a president who doesn't at least support civil unions for gays (no, I'm straight). It's just my must-have, everyone should have the same rights. Abortion is preferable, but I can sacrifice. I'm socially liberal, and economically conservative.

I really like Giuliani, but Mike Gravel isn't bad.

bruman

20-10-2007 14:12:36

I suppose if I wanted World War III I would vote for Giuliani...

Gigante

20-10-2007 19:43:09

I would like a real economic conservative that will decrease the budget deficit and not yield to liberal spending. Clinton did good in this department and Bush had to play with it.

[quote07e76c1ea1="bruman"]I suppose if I wanted World War III I would vote for Giuliani...[/quote07e76c1ea1]

When WWIII happens, the seed of it will have been sewn by Bill Clinton, who granted trade with China (we buy $500,000 in Chinese goods per minute, or $720 Million per day), which fuels their military buildup. Not to mention selling them weapons, and basically just being a giant pussy in dealing with them in every possible way, eg promising to cancel the trade agreement if they didn't improve human rights by a certain year, and then not doing anything it as the human rights actually got worse, or as the Pentagon continually named them the largest proliferator of WMDs to threatening countries like North Korea, Iran, Libya, Pakistan, etc, etc).
