I go to a military academy based out of Massachusetts called Massachusetts Maritime Academy. I am interested in signing up for a program known as the pershing rifles. They basically do insane PT and it's a military'esque fraternity on campus in which you display the blue chord of membership. The society itself has been around for over a hundred years and has thousands of members. The first night is Wednesday and is dubbed "hell night". Do you think I should go through with this? I really want to proe to myself that I can and also so I can support the blue chord of the pershing rifle. Any insight from our past service people on this site would be nice. Thanks in advance.

Reminds me of the pressure to join a fraternity and making a decision real quickly once you are in a new environment.
