Will it have the ability to "write your own songs"?
By that I mean, where you can just play notes and 'free style' (not having to play a recorded song in the same fashion as Dance Revolution)?

As of now, that has not been announced and likely won't. However, at the end of most songs, there is a free form jam session to earn extra points, and while that's not really what you're asking, it's the closest thing to it.
