They usually just stand ontop on a triangle looking thing and just mix while the people just look and enjoy the music

Electronic music? Fuck yes! I listen to mostly that. Well, trance for the most part -- but Vocal Trance (with sexy girl voices). I love it. It fucking owns and just makes you feel good. Three was one daft punk song released a few years ago, I can't remember the name, but I liked it. It was really popula rand they played it everywhere.

i also really like that they wear those suits and don't talk. props to them for keeping their egos in check despite worldwide fame -- it's still about the music

the genre you like is called hands up!

people who are into edm call it cheese. its all the same basic bass line if any. same beat. cheesy vocals that are pitched up.

its a dying genre. you missed its peak 1-2 years ago when a new song came out daily.

no i didnt wikipedia the list because i know what im talking bout.

you keep aruging on what your genre is i told u several times its called hands up! or commercial trance and not i repeat not VOCAL TRANCE!.

vocal trance is gasp trance with some vocals in it.

commercial trance is music produced specifically for the purpose of being club music.

the reason its called cheese is because technically all the music in commercial trance is the same ala dj manian aka cascada tune up and etc using the same beat for 100 songs.

I wish they'd narrow down the genre labels these days. "Electronic music" is WAY too broad a definition. Even "Electronica" is a meaningless term these days with what it has been used to describe.

Deep Dish - Say Hello (Angello & Ingrosso Remix)
Jay C - So High (Haji & Emanuel Vox Mix)

this will not be news to some of you but there are two electronic artists whose entire catalogs are worth owning. i think the critics would call both of them "IDM," which stands for "intelligent dance music" or "industrial dance music," but i think the "dance" just means "made with all kinds of fancy technology." i think it would be impossible to dance to most of the electronic music i like.

1) autechre - i have been fascinated with them for about a year. incunabula and tri repetae were the albums that first got my attention 5-6 years ago. i have been listening to untilted (2005), their latest, almost nonstop for the last few months. (this despite having spent a few hundred bucks on other CDs which are comparative rubbish.)

2) aphex twin - also known as afx and richard d. james. another pioneer. the afx album "chosen lords" is great, and "i care because you do" and "richard d. james album" are both classics.

there are many other worthy artists out there, but if anything about electronic music appeals to you you owe it to yourself to listen to this stuff extensively.
