If you have two hours to kill, this is a great video to see. Even if you don't want to watch the entire movie, there are three seperate parts, the shortest one being religion (35min.~)

I know that videos are suppose to go in the video discussion, but this is very interesting movie, and I wanted a thread for discussion. It is on three main subjects religion, 9/11, the Federal Reserve. It is more or less a conspiracy theory on these subjects, but it is unique because it ties all of the subjects together very well by the end. The cliffnotes of this are

Religion - Christianity completely based on pagan religions in the past.

9/11 - Government did it

Federal Reserve - Greedy for money and world control

Before or after watching this, I want to know your views on these subjects.

Likewise, I give no credence to 911 conspiracies. The fact some still believe in that is just one of those things that keep the aliens away because we're not "ready". lol

To the 1000th power.

9/11 conspiracy theories sicken me. It's an insult to the innocent lives that were lost that so much effort, energy, and hatefulness is spent in their names.

I'm all for questioning the government when they screw up. And I'm certain, in hindsight, that we've identified areas that our government should have paid attention to but didn't, simply because voiced threats are constant and nobody could imagine or conceive of something on that scale actually succeeding here.

But to suggest that something this big could be planned, executed, and covered up on American soil is just plain stupid. My blood pressure rises every time I talk about it... ?

Yep, that page sums it up for me. Seriously, anyone who believes that truly has no brains and should(probably does) hold a very low income.

People are STILL standing outside the World Trade Center construction site in Manhattan holding banners and handing out information on why 9/11 was an inside job.

None of the questions really directly say WHY they did it, they just raise odd things that happened, or mere coincidences from that attack.

The brochure has a "Consider this..." section, and one of the points was "Why is it now considered unpatriotic to ask questions?"

Yes the Bush Administration did plan 9/11!

He did it just so he could invade . . . Afghanistan.[/sizeb4015295f2]

Umm, nevermind.

I think this topic has become centered too much around one part of the movie. If you don't believe or want to know about the 9/11 conspiracy, just skip part two.

I just watched the first part, and a little of the second, and I found it very compelling, until I found these pages - http//www.kingdavid8.com/Copycat/JesusHorus.html[]http//www.kingdavid8.com/Copycat/JesusHorus.html and http//www.kingdavid8.com/Copycat/Home.html[]http//www.kingdavid8.com/Copycat/Home.html. To me that pretty much discredits the quality of the movie's research and reveals its extreme bias toward conspiracy.

9/11 conspiracies are retarded. i've examined them and argued on a4f and other forums repeatedly about why they make no sense.

christianity being based on paganism i already knew. practically every christian holiday or ritual is based in paganism.

My biggest issue with religion is how much it changes to fit the times. If you want to believe in God, fine—God is absolute and timeless. But I have trouble understanding how anyone can be [i58cc89f126]religious[/i58cc89f126]—that is, identify with a specific religion—when they've changed so much to maintain their relevancy.

The Government is way too inept to pull hide anything let alone the world's biggest conspiracy in plain sight...

I was considering the premise behind 9/11 conspiracy theories, and I think people are looking at it all wrong.

First, let me just say that I don't think there is any conspiracy to explain. But if I were to try and frame an argument in favor of it, it would be from a different angle (and one I haven't heard anywhere else before). It's easy to discount the idea of bombs or missiles or anything physically constructed to fake the whole situation. But the [i15a967838d]motive[/i15a967838d] behind the situation could have been masterminded by the CIA or a similar intelligence agency.

That is to say, this could have been a long-term project, in which the CIA trained Osama bin Laden (as we now know it did) with the intentions of turning him against America—making an enemy of him later on. From there, they would covertly support him (without even his knowledge), perhaps by siphoning funds, aiding him in recruiting, or just staying out of his way as he prepared his attacks. In other words, the CIA would secretly help Osama create his attacks, all the while letting him think he was succeeding on his own. Other than the very small group of intelligence officers that would be involved with this operation, no one would know about it, and from everyone else's point of view (including the terrorists'), it would be a legitimate attack. Since the Middle East has a hard time with intelligence or counterintelligence (if Afghanistan or Iraq had intelligence agencies at all—I don't know), this would be an easy thing to keep secret.

Thoughts? Let me restate that this is all hypothetical, and created mostly out of frustration for the stupid theories already existing.

It's an interesting theory, ilanbg, and probably the only way possible for elements within our government to be complicit. But it would have to have been a rogue element -- no way it would have had cabinet-level authority, primarily because the timeframe you indicated would have occurred across multiple administrations. And even if ONE of the administrations were capable and willing to initiate it, I have no reason to believe any subsequent administration would continue it. Personally I'm confident that -- flaws and egos aside -- none of our recently sitting presidents would have been involved in even dreaming of such foolishness. Even the Bush-haters couldn't pin it on him, because the effort involved would have long pre-dated his presidency. Remember he was only 9 months into his first term when 9/11 happened.

And Iraq & Afghanistan certainly had their own intelligence agencies. And Iraq's agency, the Mukhabarat, was certainly powerful and highly organized. They were the ones involved in the rumored deal to buy yellowcake uranium from Nigeria. The deal fell through, as we all know now, but was one of Bush's justifications for going to war. Iraq didn't have a viable nuclear program, but it certainly wasn't from lack of trying, and their intelligence agency (the Mukhabarat) were definitely working towards that goal. With both of its mortal enemies -- Iran and Israel -- flanking it on either side, both nuclear powers, Saddam would have given his first born for a nuclear arsenal.
