I saw that quite a few of you have bought decals from them. Have any of you had bad experiences? DecalGirl.com claimed nothing like this has ever happened, and I just don't believe them.

I had a decal on my 30gb iPod for several months, and back in October of 2006 I got tired of it so I decided to take it off. I had HUGE problems removing it (see pics) so I contacted DecalGirl right away. After a little while, they began to ignore my calls and e-mails. Then I had my dad threaten them with the Better Business Bureau, which is when they decided to start talking seriously.

They agreed to pay to have the damage fixed, so I sent it off and got it repaired. I got it back, and I sent a fax to them showing the expense for the repair. They never responded. The fax was sent later one more time, and they aren't responding to any calls. They have yet to refund the repair costs.

As you can see in the pics below, the click wheel decal actually lifted up the click wheel when I removed it, and I was even partially holding down the click wheel cause I was having trouble getting the decal off. Other than that there is "goo" on the back, which DecalGirl.com claimed was from dust and oil from human hands. That was a total lie because the goo was actually sticky and you could see where it was missing from the decal. Oh well for a "goo free removal."

They even tried to blame me for the problems removing it, suggesting that I used some kind of cleaner (which I didn't).

Anyway, I would strongly advise anyone from buying decals for your iPods from these people. They are EXTREMELY unprofessional and just a pain to deal with.

I wish I would have known that before.

Try contacting the BBB and see if they'll change their minds and do something about it.
