I've used Google for a long time now.
Back around 1998,99 I used to use www.goto.com, which changed to www.overture.com in 2001 and which is now acquired and powered by Yahoo.
I've never liked any of the other engines. Their results are bleh.

There are other search engines than Google? Who knew? shrug ;)
I used Winzy for a little while but it pretty much kinda sucks. So I went back to Google..cause I can always count on it. D

I normally use Google too, but their are times I get better results from others. It just depends on what you're searching for, as the different engines use different methods to do their searches.

Back in the day (mid-late 90's), AltaVista owned everybody. Back then Yahoo wasn't a true search engine, it was an index (you had to submit sites to it, it didn't crawl them). DogPile was great because as a meta-search engine, it submitted your search to several engines and indexes, and compiled the results.

I remember way back in the day I would use www.search.com which is owned by Download.com, of course i've strictly used Google for a long time now...
