For some reason warped tour has become too good for Nevada. They haven't been here since 2004. I'm going to go to the LA show on 8/25. Its the last stop of the tour. I wanted to see Alkaline Trio but alteast i'll get to see BR, Pennywise, and The Unseen.

Pretty sure wink Even if they had gone to Reno I still would have gone to LA last year its about a 2-3 hour drive vs a 6 hour drive to Reno.

I wish I could see fishbone and flogging molly, but the VA beach/DC show sucks. hardly any good punk or ska on the tour.

Seriously, i'm pretty sick of this emo/screamo shit. The warped tour has gone to hell over the last couple of years.

Really the olny good bands this year are Alkaline Trio, Pennywise, BR, Flogging Molly, and The Unseen.

Hey mnx12 did you see Bad Religion play at warped? If you did, how was their new stuff live? I'm going to see them this tuesday (for free D) which is also the day their new album comes out. So i'm guessing their set list is going to be dominated by the newest stuff.

I did see Bad Religion, they were amazing to see live. The new stuff was good but the crowd was more into the older obviously.

Here are some of the pictures I took at the show

Nice pictures. Good to hear about Bad Religion, this will be the 3rd time i've seen them live but the first time in 3 years. I'll be seeing them again next month at warped. But i'm really looking forward to tuesday. Its going to be a fairly small show olny like 500 people max if all of the tickets get claimed.

Good call watching The Unseen. There amazing.

presale started today, i missed last years but def gonna hit it up this year

mnx12

Yeah, i'm going of course too. In my opinion this is the worst line-up ever though. I'm pretty much going for Against Me! and then some other bands that I kinda want to see. Some really good bands aren't doing my date (Rise Against, Dillinger Escape Plan)

I don't know what the hell happened. remember when it used to be cool? I remember back in '99, this was the first event i've ever gone to. It had Orange 9mm, Reveille, Blink 182, H20, Less Than Jake, Eminem was there, the freaking Black Eyed Peas were there when they were first starting out, and the headliner was Sevendust. That was freakin' awesome. Now, the punk and ska scene seems to have completely taken over.........

Ah well, to each his own I suppose

'99 was a pretty weak line up IMO. I am not a fan of pop-punk and modern rock gets old fast.

The tour has always caterd to whats "in" at the time thats why it changes so much with each passing year. '99-'03 featured alot of pop-punk type stuff (blink-182,Simple Plan,Sum-41..etc) while '04-06 had alot of emo/screamo shit that I really don't care for. The modern "Hardcore rolls" genre as it has become has dominated the past couple tours and will do so more than ever this year.

What bugs me the most about "Hardcore" is that it has become a waterd down joke over the past two years, it is as much a fashion and verd (eg; anything from chugging a can of monster to getting a bloody nose now has to be followed up with "dude thats so hardcore") It is entirely interchangeable with "emo'' from a fashion stand point in that your jeans have to be Skinny fit (even if you can't fit in them) Tshirts have to be black and have of been bought at a concert, Your has to be long and jet black. Todays HC band are nothing like the originals such as Black Flag, Kill Your Idols and 7 seconds. Ronnie Radke and Oli Sykes are perfect examples of just fake a respectable genre and its frontmen can become just a couple years time.

We are evolving ) and so is the music... I'm not a big fan of these emo/screamo guys but I gotta admit there are some decent ones out there.. meaning I only listen to a few like maybe 3 lol
