eBay scam?
I got this message for my RAZR V3x listing on eBay
Q Dear Seller, Good day to you, i am interested in your item displayed on ebay, i want to get this item for my friends child who is currently studying in Africa as a Congratulatory gift.I would have love to bid like others but the nature of my job will not allow me to do that at this time, I will be offering you $350.00 for this item. So please if you are interested in selling this item for me, kindly get back to me with your full name and address so that I can send out the payment immediately via Paypal. As i said earlier am offering you $350.00 for this item this will include both the shipping and handling cost to Africa. Your urgent response will be highly appreciated. Thanks and God bless. -bammaof3-

Hmm paypal anything that comes from Africa is a scam thats like a rule you have to follow on ebay but i feel for the honest people but why cant he bid on your item and win it like a normal person would? I guess he is afraid because I bet he has 0 feedback and a new person that joined ebay? Than its mostly a scam like I said depends on the persons feedback.
He actually has 9 feedback, all positive and has been a member since 1998. The thing is, this phone is worth only $150 tops.

It's a scam, trust us. It's quite common, and usually stems from hacked eBay accounts. It's almost impossible to put up eBay auctions for electronics now and not get these. Just ignore it.

Not necessarily. Right now I'm taking part in a transaction with the nephew of a deceased African prince. Due to political upheaval, the prince's bank account was frozen, but all his nephew needs in order to gain acces to it is a few hundred thousand dollars, whereupon he and I will split the millions in the account. Doesn't get more legit than that.

You know I asked them for more info since I didn't want to be tried as a terrorist and sent to Guantanamo Bay and they didn't get back to me. How bizarre.
Do you think we were dealing with the same nephew?

Yeah I had someone offer me that same price, $350, for a 1gen shuffle one time. Told him okay and once he sent the paypal that I would ship out the shuffle.
Then I got a fake email from ebay saying that the money had been sent but that I wouldnt be able to see it unless I ship the item and the person recieves it. I guess paypal was "holding it"
SCAM!
Thanks for the help guys, I appreciate it. Guess it really was a scam.
