Ok, a question to all the manly men here at FiPG - How would a wife encourage a husband who hated wearing any kind of scented anything in the first place, but was later persuaded by his new wife to at least use some body spray, to use cologne instead? Scents to suggest would also be appreciated. Nothing too overt but not old man like either, ie Old Spice. Just clean and masculine. Oh and hopefully not terribly expensive...

Sex.

And the new Lacoste.

I would get some magazines for men - Maxim, etc. - and smell the inserts for cologne companies.

Also, you can have him rub himself with it, and see if both him and you like it on him.

I just bought Nautica - Island Voyage yesterday. Its very citrus-y and fresh and young-feeling. Not much staying power though. If anyone is looking for cologne/perfume check out http//www.basenotes.net/[]http//www.basenotes.net/. Cologne reviews. My only problem with the top rated colognes on Basenotes is that to me they smell "old" and musky-- more refined. For straight up adult buisnessmen. I like smelling fresh and young. My two cents.

Acqua Di Gio is the best. Not to bad price wise either. If hes willing to wear body spray i'm sure he can get use to a light cologne. Body spray is WAY stronger.

If you want a younger smell, try baby powder. When I wear it people are always telling me I smell like a baby.

Hahaha! Well I guess I'll clarify. I don't enjoy smelling like my grandpa or his shoe closet. lol The baby powder scent might just be a little TOO young.

08-07-2007 17:36:42

Umm sorry if this a little off topic but how do you put on the cologne? The way I do it is, two sprays away from the body and then walk through the spray (seen it on TV.. yeah). But I hear people smear cologne behind their ears, on their nipples... and other places. I'd like to know how you guys put em on. o___o

Wolfeman

08-07-2007 17:38:52

I spray 2 or 3 sprays on my shirt and neck from about a foot away...

JordanE

08-07-2007 18:25:34

One spray on my shirt, than one on my wrists and rub them together.

I've also heard it's best to do the spray in the air and walk through the mist thing, but I don't care for it. I spray once in the hair, once around the neckline, and once on a wrist which I rub with the other wrist and then rub my wrists behind my ears.

I'll have to try it out. Don't know what it smells like but I guess a lot of people here like it so it can't be bad.

tylerc

Exactly!

If people online like it, it MUST be good P

But really, it smells good.

My thinking exactly. It's kinda pricey but I guess all cologne is. I'll smell it in a store before i get it or see if it's in a maxim or stuff

tylerc

08-07-2007 22:40:43

It's in Maxim, or it was a couple months ago, that's how I found out about it.
