Best private torrent sites?

I normally use Demonoid and Oink, but Demonoid is down and theres something I really want to download. So what are other really good private torrent sites?

as far as i know scenetorrents(dont have) and torrentleech(have) seem to be the highest rated.

revolutiontt is pretty good and useful as well

well, ScT is about impossible to get into, so not really worth mentioning.

I have a quick question about torrents. Whats the different between private torrent host and public ones?? I have different private site accounts like demonoid and oink but whats the difference between that and mininova and the pirate bay??? Dont users upload the same content to both?!?

Torrents from private trackers are only accessible by members of those trackers. The tracker embeds an identifier in the torrent file that is linked to your account. Only customers with memberships on the tracker can use the torrent.

In order for the RIAA/MPAA/authorities to monitor what you're doing, they have to be able to access the same tracker and torrent file, and therefore they would have to be members of the same tracker. When you use a public site like Mininova, anybody in the public can easily see who is sharing what.

Therefore, [i4fcfc2988e]in theory[/i4fcfc2988e], private trackers are less likely to result in you receiving a terse cease-and-desist order from your ISP, or worse, a settlement demand or court summons. In reality, it isn't that hard for representatives of the aforementioned organizations to get invited into private trackers, especially the popular ones like OiNK and Demonoid. OiNK is invite-only and you are supposed to only invite those you know, but how many of you here sharing invites REALLY know the person you've giving them too? ;) And Demonoid has open registration quite frequently where no invite is needed. So its security as a private tracker is for the most part compromised. So don't be lulled into a false sense of security that you can't be busted from private trackers. But at least the odds are more in your favor than with public trackers.
