Due to the circumstances revolving her "Departure" i think she has the right to at least explain herself....or in the very least be able to understand what exactly happened and why.

I believe she should be allowed back in/on. 8)

Please know that your input here will be considered, but that the ban will not be reversed. I hope that anyone voting reads the entire thread linked above and considers it carefully before casting their vote.

This site has a huge percentage of its member roster on the ban list. It's pretty hard to go a day without noticing topics that without users whos named are graced by the "banned" title. Has anyone went through and figured out what percentage of the users who post at lesat one message are banned? I bet we have the highest ban rate of any site our size.

I'm not saying anything either way, just an interesting thing to look at.

With 2674 members we dont ban that many....we have very simple rules on this forum and people constantly want to ban them. Yes i ban people daily but only for just reasons. As well i unban people that get ahold of me and explain themselves. For example Phossil was bant for breaking the rules he explained himself to me and i unbant him. Like the Admin said in another thread there is alot of work done in the background and we must do what we do to keep the forum running well. I like to consider myself very fair to all members, i give a warning publicly and usually privatly. If thats not good enough those people can leave or we will help them leave.

It seems to me that a good bit of the people banned from this site are new users who come post their referral links in new threads and scammers. I think that these new users and scammers who don't follow the rules should be banned. Other forums that don't deal with free sites don't have to worry about things like that.

that is absolutly correct Retro thanks for your input....most people that get bant break the #1 rule here no referral links, and many times those people that post as guests are actually memebers thinking that we wouldnt catch them guess what they are wrong. We only ban people for no reason....another example is a guy named Warcow personally insulted me and gave me constant negative karma i didnt ban him until he insulted several members and spammed the forum and scammed somebody.

It's rare that someone with more than 10 posts is banned. I do everything I possibly can to make people read the rules, including forcing them to read them before posting here two different ways. There simply isn't anything else I can do. First time posters with no intent of contributing get banned a lot, but it's because of their own stupidity.

Lets us all remember that this IS a forum, this is for recreation, this isn't a serious integration of like minded individuals for any type of business purposes, or capitol gains, this is purely social, yet when the rules for admittance becomes so hazy as to how they have become, it taints the atmosphere.

I just plainly stated exactly what i felt. And I was threatened with an "extended vacation" for it.

If anyone knew me, they'd know i thrive on controversial issues like this, thats why i got involved, i have nothing to gain outlive this either way...most likely i more or less probably just got on the admins bad side, which doesn't exactly seem like the uhm.."good" thing to do...

But hey I've said my piece. I have no power so this is ALL i could do.

Its been fun. D

I merely offered it as yet another service provided free of charge to our patrons here. And you first say that it's a forum for recreation and not serious. Then you say the 'atmosphere' is 'taint[ed]'?? What atmosphere? It's not serious, remember? You're not on anyone's bad side; if you were, I'd have at least closed this topic and the other one and probably banned you as well.

this seems way to serious, its a forum yes...just a forum not your whole life, if you don't follow the rules the forum ends for you with a ban, not the end of your life... the mods have always seemed to be fair, in my opinion, and i would say that more people have been rude that are not mods, then the mods themselves to others... idea just my 2cents... arrow

As a follow up to my previous post, i hand counted all of the bans on the member roster after sorting it by user posts. This stems solely from curiosity and boredom.

These numbers are guaranteed to be off by a few.
Number of users with no posts 787
Bans 2
[Excluded from the rest of the numbers]

Users who have 1-1549 posts 1887
Total Bans ~150
Percentage of users banned 7.94

Number of users with one post 218
Bans 38
Percentage of users banned 17.43

Under 10 Posts 1175
Bans 97
Bans 8.25

Number of users with 10 or more posts 713
Bans 53
Percent 7.38

Well, there you are.
Also, I don't really have any feelings about Amaivs, i didn't know her.
