Bill Clinton was the best thing for our country at the time. Regardless of how moral (or immoral) he is, he did nothing but good things for this country. This is likely the last reply I will make to this topic.

Forgive me for not knowing specifically, but I'd assume that one of the requirements for assuming the office of the presidency, is to behave in a manner that reflects that office.

While one can say Kennedy and other presidents didn't act that in that manner either, those men's activities were more discreet, or kept from the public at the time.

Clinton, knowing the day in which he lived, and the increased scrutiny that came with it, [i80eb18b4d4]still[/i80eb18b4d4] behaved in the reckless manner he did. I'm not criticizing him for adultery, as much as I'm criticizing his poor judgement. A man who could think he'd get away with blowjobs in the oval office in this day and age, is not a man I want to have control over nuclear weapons.

I think it's fair to say, he, more than any other president in recent history, has tarnished the office to the point that we no longer give the deserved respect towards it, but judge the man first. (Yeah, there was Nixon, but Reagan repaired some of that damage)

Whether you love or hate Bush, I have to pity his having a worse lead-in president than his dad. ;)

For Clinton, he has only himself to blame for the legacy he'll have...

I'd say Bush has tarnished it far more. Clinton may have been reprehensible on a personal morality level. Bush is reprehensible on so many actual policy issues... And has lied far more about real issues than Clinton ever did about a blowjob.
