Which three posts.....? ;)

They should be kind, and let it be 3 referrals, as the cost is far less than an iPod.

I dont know... 3 seems kind of easy but i'd really hope for that.

For something like that, its prolly gonna be 8-10 referrals....my guess

For an item that's CHEAPER than an iPod??? shock

Nah, 5 has gotta be the max, but 3 would be fairer.....

Here's a quote

"In store computers at Electronics Boutique are now taking preorders for the PSP at a price point of $299.99. "

Article located here http//news.gaminghorizon.com/media/1089092047.html

So im just guessing, since it's probably going to cost the same amount as an iPod, they will make it between 5-10 referrals, cause everyones gonna want one, and they know they can set the referral requirement a little high ]

Just my opinion...

This is sony's first handheld they cannot twice as muchas their ps2 system, when they are fighting against nintendo over portables.
nintendo ds is 149 3 referls is too low ant their will be many people who can actuially recieve it because it always seems achieviable. 5 is the amount needed for an item twice its price and 5 is too much im goin with 4.

Actually I believe the starting price of the PSP is gonna be around $189.99 but maybe that store is taking extra money because it's a pre-order.

Either way, Gratis will stick to the 5 referrals. Since when do companies who want to make money care about fairness? They care about money and in this case with five referrals they could break even or maybe earn money on every account even if they ship out a PSP\Nintendo DS for that account. Anyway I can't wait until freesonypsps and freenintendods are out. By the way anyone know when the PSP is supposed to come out in the US? I think it's like January some time, too bad for Sony having all these potential customers buying the Nintendo DS instead since it'll be out some time in November.

yea but you guys have to understand. ANYONE could get 3 referals EASILY. if they did that they'd never make a profit and gratis would collapse. i'd say it'll be 6

i'd say 5 because that is probably the minimum they could do without making it to easy. they might throw in a game though to make it seem like a better deal.

5 is the max.

Gotta be.....

For FreeDS, I'd bet the farm on 5. The DS is half the price of an iPod, so the math makes it look like they could do it for 3 referrals (5 referrals for a $300 ipod, so for a $150 DS, half of 5 rounded up is 3), but they won't. That would be too easy for people to do, and would undermine the economic principal of the entire thing. So 5 for FreeDS.
Now the question that sticks out with me is how many for FreePSP. See, the word on that is that PSP will be ~$300, maybe less. So it seems like it would be 5 referrals, just like the $300 ipod. The thing is, it might look a bit inconsistent needing the same number of referrals for a $300 item (PSP) as for a $150 item (DS), so it wouldn't suprise me if Gratis took that opportunity to up the referral requirement for FreePSP, perhaps to 6 or 7, but I don't see 8 happening. That's just idle speculation, though. wink

I say 5 for Nintendo DS and 6 for Sony PSP. They made it 5 refs for the hand bags and those arn't that expensive as an ipod. And for the sony psp 6 sounds like a good number since ffs is 8 and they cost around 400 dollars. Just my 2 cents

Gratis says they [ia06491c65b]do [/ia06491c65b]make money on iPods, so lets say

5 referrals = 300 + profit

cut that in half, round up a bit

3 referrals = 150 + less profit

One could surmise that 4 referrals could earn enough for the DS, [ia06491c65b]and [/ia06491c65b]make Gratis a fair profit.

If they went 4, or even 3 referrals for the DS, that'd be the best business descision they could make.

The PSP will likely be 5 referrals, as it is purportedly the same price of a 20gb iPod.
