hi guys
curious if anyone has had experience with paypal and credit card chargebacks. my first one today.
Trillian went red and paypal could not do anything so I did a charge back without a hassle thru citibank this AM. I had told paypal i was going to do it and they did not really comment. should i delete my bank account from the account in case they attempt to take money from there?

Paypal is weird about disputes for freebie sites. I would wait to hear from citibank since you already did the chargeback, and go from there.

Citi generally issues a "conditional credit" for chargebacks/disputes. They will investigate the issue and get back to you...I've yet to have one denied, but just in case it wasn't clear...that's probably what's going on.

yes.

There will be a negative balance on your account that you will owe. You wont be able to use that account until you pay it back. I dont know about other account tough.(If you start a new one...)

yeah if that is the case i will not pay paypal. i will just remove my bank account and not pay them. In my email I suggested that they recoup the money by drawing it from the scammer's account.
I have another account.

Even if you remove your info, they still have it, and depending if its a checking account, will try to charge you from that.

A reply to smoke that I have would be to close that checking account and then Paypal does not have the ability to tap into you.

Yea. You will have to have the bank block the account then. I don't know how much money you owe paypal, but they claimed i owed them 300 dollars. I never paid, and eventually they sent a collections agency after me. So, i contacted the attorney general, and paypal acted as the great god from above and reimbursed me. Paypal is the worst company i have ever dealt with and i hope they fucking burn.
