My husband want a chainsaw!?!
Don't ask me why, he has only borrowed 1 one time in the last 15 yrs, so he really doesn't need one. But anyway any advise on a brand or horse power? I know he does not want the plug in kind, but how big should I get, it is not like he is a logger or anything, I think he just want to make noise! Open to all advise.

I'm not so sure we have many people here that you would probably want to get chainsaw-purchasing advice from but we do have an odd group here so this could be interesting. lol

Sears has a few brands anywhere from 14'' to 20''. Craftsman is a good reliable brand, they have a half dozen from them. Mostly gas but a couple electric but it sounds like you're going to want a gas one. They even have Remington a pole mounted 10'' one for trimming branches and stuff if that'd make it useful.

I stand corrected. Freebies [i2b8f3d209a]and[/i2b8f3d209a] chainsaws; well rounded, my friend.

Yes, fat people can go skinny dipping for all I care. As a matter of fact, if I saw a fat person skinny dipping I'd probably laugh as opposed to being disgusted.

Husqvarna one of the best brands. I worked up in the Adirondacks for 5 years of my life and where I worked that's all they used. They're kinda on the pricey side but they'll last forever if you're just going to use them a few times a year. www.husqvarna.com

I hope my ole lady gets me something good, even though it will probably be bought with my money and I won't be home on that day.

That is too funny. Sorry I can't give ya much advice on this Stacy. My boyfriend has an older craftsman that he bought at an auction for $5. It's old and beat u but it's never let him down. So maybe hit up Sears for a new Craftsman?

Good luck!

Why would he want one? Chain saws are awesome but can be very dangerous, my father almost cut off his leg once with one!!

Get one of those gas powered one!!

In addition to being a quality brand, many Craftsman products also carry a lifetime guarantee.

OK , I get the feeling that some of you are pocketing some cash on the side from sears. So far it sounds like craftsman is the way to go, most of his other tools are craftsman anyway.

As far as women not needing shoes - so not true. I need every pair I have, just to piss off my husband when I buy them! He loves seeing all the shoed in the closet and me not wearing them. I do like the big chainsaw that moviemadness posted, but I do not think that will fit in the garage! I figured that my hubby want to make the background sound to the song lumberjack (cant remeber who sings it, maybe AC/DC)
Oh well, I guess sears will some more of my cash! Thanks for all the advise. A pretty good respose from a freebie forum I thought!
