Anyone know if a bank would let me open an account by myself without my parents. I'm 17 and it would be convenient for me to have for these offers and stuff. (Debit card)

doubt it, you usually need a cosigner, and like 100$ atleast to deposit.

Wow, banks have gone downhill.

I would say, go try. You used to be able to open an account with just some ID, and I can't see it changing that much.

A chick with her boobs bouncing. But NO! They will not allow you to open an account. You do need a cosigner for every bank account out there if you are under 18. I had to open a savings with my parents name on it. I asked if I could open a checking by myself and they told me I needed a cosigner.

get co signer - two forms of id - and some money to open it... just try it and see what happens try local banks usually they have less harsh requirements to open checking accounts because they want to attract more business, and compete with the larger banks in town.. ie wells/b of a / ...
