Star Wars is a HUGE deal in our house...mostly due to my 9yr old's total obsession (his dad's also kind of a fan, mom too wink ). He's got every figure ever made (at least it seems like it roll ). Last Christmas, the only things he requested were StarWars action figures...really random ones, too (Captain Tarpals, anyone?). Thank God for ebay...found them all! D

I still have most of my collection from the late 70's. my parents were smart and bought 2 of each in case I lost any... so they are still in the packages! I have my old lunchbox too )

Cool! My little bro had hundreds of figures and the big original Mil.Falcon. My [i8ce85a4aab]mother[/i8ce85a4aab], while cleaning out the storage room, came across the whole collection and, instead of forseeing her grandson would be in love with these things in the near future, gave them away to some random neighbor kid evil . She kicks herself now for that, as she rightly should!

I still have my collection of original figures in the attic somewhere, in a collectors case. Not in original packaging, but almost entirely intact with accessories. I was told by a collector about 10 years ago or so that it'd be worth around $300 or so. I wonder how much it has appreciated since. I also think I still have what turned out to be a very rare figure from the Sears-exclusive Cantina play set. I can't remember the name of the character, but one of the included figures was dressed differently than the separately available version, and was valued at something like $1200 last I heard. Been meaning to go dig 'em out and see what I've got. I've also got an original X-Wing, Tie Fighter, and at two Land Speeders.

I like the films, but they never captured me. Maybe it was the way Lucas concentrated so much on the "mecha" of it. I know he planned on merchandising the hell out of it, and did, but that aspect of it always came across to me on the screen. The only thing he didn't do was write the MSRP on all the models. D

Yeah, these are great! Ya gotta love YouTube. The one with the Japanese cops and Vader is my absolute favorite.
