I was wondering if anybody has ever tried BMG music. I want to start buying cds so it doesnt look like im a cheapass for burning them. If nobody has used BMG..then does anybody know of anyother sites where you can get used/new cds for dirt cheap?

Paypal debit is your friend. Also some people have had success with the paypal virtual debit. You might not have to wait for the card to be physically shipped to you.

If you have a balance in your account, you can just use the virtual card at most sites I'm sure.

BMG is a good deal even after you get all your free stuff. The prices aren't bad and they very often have sales. I've had it for a few years now and it's been worth it.

BMG has been doing this for years and years. I was a member like 5 years ago. It's a good service. No opt in or anything tricky. You just have to respond to the selection of the month offer or they'll send that to you automatically (although you can return it).

I've been a BMG member for, oh, about 12-13 years now. After being with them for awhile, you can opt-out of the Selection of the Month auto-ship and just buy as you please -- I haven't had an autoship in probably 10 years. I would just wait for the "Buy 1 Get 3 Free!" deals they had 2-3 times a year. I'm also a YourMusic.com member for the last 1.5 years or so, as one of my first I-Deal offers. YourMusic is a BMG operation and pulls from the same BMG catalog.

BMG manufacturers their CD's, but they are complete, new, and identical to store bought CD's. The only difference you'll see is some fine print on the back saying "Manufactured by/for BMG Direct" or something like that.

Just wanted to make sure )

But i signed up last night for the free 7 cds...and i hit submit and it says that i have to go through a 48 period while they review my account...but what i dont get is...that i didnt get any confirmation emails and it doesnt say which cds i ordered.

aviendha47

You can try getting in contact with their customer service if you still haven't gotten any confirmation after 48 hours. When I first signed up I had to wait too so I don't think you should be too concerned until after the 48 hours.

Ok My 7 cds just got shipped..

Any clue to how long they take to get to me?

aviendha47

25-05-2007 20:02:22

The BMG site says

Q. How long will it take for my order to arrive?
A. The delivery time may take two to four weeks, depending on where you live and time of year. If you would like your music delivered faster, we offer special delivery options. BMG Store merchandise may take six to eight weeks for delivery.
