I'm curious what is your favorite offer? No, I'm not interested in hearing about the $1 trials that you've done 19 times, or whatever easy free online trial you can cancel online.

Instead, what are the offers you completed to which you still subscribe, or what are the offers that you found most useful?

I have a couple[listfd73d5fb18]liI did [bfd73d5fb18]NYT [/bfd73d5fb18]for freegiftplanet.com when I was trying to earn 14,000 points for my ipod. (Thank god for freeipods, or I'd still be earning points). NYT was a gift for my girlfriend and up until late last year (~3 years), I was a subscriber.
liI completed [bfd73d5fb18]LifeLock [/bfd73d5fb18]which isn't' around much anymore - but it's a credit / fraud protection offer. As part of the offer I received credit reports from all 3 agencies.
li[bfd73d5fb18]Zooba [/bfd73d5fb18]is my current favorite offer - I've been a member for more than 6 months - $9.99 a month, and free shipping for a hardcover book. It's been great a) because it inspires me to read a book a month, b) tit's inexpensive (you can't get a paperback of most new books for $9.99), c) it's convenient. [/listufd73d5fb18]What do you guys like?

One of my favorites is Blockbuster Online. I used to have Netflix but it's pretty nice being able to take it into the store to swap with Blockbuster.

My very first freebie offer was Blockbuster, and I'm still a member nearly 2 years later.

I'm also still a member of Boca Java, Gevalia, Disney DVD Club -- all over a year now -- and one of the Scholastic book offers for about 8-9 months or so. But I'm finally going to cancel Gevalia because we like Boca Java better.

I actually love "SimplyYou"...I know it's one of those easy $1 trials, but I swear, between the $25 Walmart gift card I got and the $5 savings each time I order a Walgreens or SportsAuthority card, I've paid myself back the $19.99 yearly fee many, many times over! In fact, all my family members are getting gift cards for Christmas this year purchased through SimplyYou! D

Mine was YourMusic. I actually ordered a bunch of CDs from them. Nothing like having a legit CD collection wink

tylerc

20-05-2007 12:47:11

YourMusic, definitely. $6.99 (used to be $5.99) for a CD? Great price, and a decent selection.

BlockBuster was awesome too, I ripped and copied so many DVDs from that site.

Andy (my boyfriend), my roommate and I all love [b4afb399a62]Zooba[/b4afb399a62], we've had it for a couple months now.

I did [b4afb399a62]Men's Health Personal Trainer[/b4afb399a62] for Andy and he uses it everyday! D

I'm a huge fan of makeup so I LOOVEE [b4afb399a62]Cosmetique[/b4afb399a62]. It's just wonderful )

Andy's sister has 4 kids, 3 of which are approaching the learn-to-read stages, so I got them [b4afb399a62]Hooked on Phonics[/b4afb399a62] reading program and they LOVE it, she was so grateful!

Those are my favorites so far, but [i4afb399a62]Cosmetique[/i4afb399a62] wins for me D

^ Woah.

My favorite offers were the Tickle offers. But they're long gone now. (

Oh, and Zooba was a favorite. I had it for around four months. I got my mom books that she wanted...cooking books. They shipped quickly, and there wasn't any rips or tears in the books. And for the cheap price of $9.99/month, $9.99/book, and a free book every month, it was so worth it. D

Me too, I've paid ahead for 6 months, and just love it...I really want the meter, but can't afford it right now...so I play the guessing game..lol

Been a member of blockbuster for 2 years at least, so didn't get it through freebies, but would have loved it if I had...I average 20 movies a month with being able to take the mailed ones in to the stores to rent free ones, and then your next movies are on the way immediately! Awesome deal!

Interesting mix of offers - looks like YourMusic, Blockbuster/NetFlix, and Zooba are the most popular. I'd be interested in some other opinions too.

I'm kind of relieved to see that Zooba is something people like - I worry sometimes that no-one reads books anymore. I've probably listened to more books in the past year than read them. However Edward Tufte's [iaf787a4821]Visual Display of Quantitative Information[/iaf787a4821] is difficult to listen to. ;)

I joined Zooba a couple of years ago and I loved it! I''m are freak for books - love to reac!

I no longer have it because I got so many books, I just couldn't find anywhere else to put them. I lived in a RV and didn't take long to run out of places to put things. Now that I have more room, I have been thinking about signing up with them again, I miss my books!

Yep, I pay $20 for a $25 gift card...I used about 4 of them to buy my kid in-line skates, so that $100 pair of skates actually only cost me $80...love it!!

Blockbuster by far. I did the offer around when I started, and I still have the subscription.

22-05-2007 17:22:38

I was going to keep blockbuster, but they sent an unrated version of a movie instead of the pg13 version that it described. I was glad the kids had lost interest in the movie when the unrated parts came on.

I've done Columbia House DVD and Disney DVD which I still have. I did the Scholastic Phonics Reading, got the green, but never got charged and I haven't received the shipment yet. It's too bad I was looking forward to that.

I did both gotta play and gamefly but my stupid post office kept messing things up. They send back a game to gamefly return to sender without ever trying to deliver it and I had two games from gamefly never arrive. I filed the claims and everything, but I didn't keep the service because I didn't want to get charged without the games ever showing up.

So there was a couple I would have kept, but the service providers (and the post office) screwed things up.

22-05-2007 17:24:48

I avoided Columbia House like the plague, but finally broke down and did it last year. 1 year later I am very satisfied. I managed to get 16 DVDs and only spent $85 on them.

I took advantage of older DVDs, and buy 1 get 1 free specials I would see them run throughout the year.

I also just joined the Good Cook and that looks like it's pretty good too. I might check out zoomba if I ever finished all these books on my shelf I need to read.

Hmm, I like YourFreeCreditReport.com, I like stats and stuff, so it's fun to just flip through the different tools they have and stuff.

I also think GameFly is awesome, though I didn't do it as an offer, wasn't doing offers back when I signed up. Thinking about signing up for Blockbuster, but I prefer buying movies to renting them, though it would be nice to just run up there and trade out whenever I wanted a new movie, got one down the road from the house.

I would have to say the offer for "stamps.com". I got 5 free dollars worth of a shipping label. I trade concerts on tapetrader.com and do alot of Ebay and it saved me 5 dollars on shipping. Pretty nice.

I also had alot of fun with Match.com...Sure I am married, but its pretty funny to make a ridiculous profile.

I've been with Boca ever since my first I-Deal site years ago. I've tried but failed to find a local alternative that is as good and cost effective, but no luck. I'm not a huge coffee drinker -- only one tall cup in the morning for me -- but the wife drinks a lot, and if I'm going to drink coffee it has to be good. Boca's Bananas Foster Float and Vacation Villa Vanilla flavors are the bomb. We've been on the auto-ship for 4 bags per month now for, what, 2.5 years?

You know... I've never been able to do the Boca Java or Gevalia offers! They've never showed up on my browser for some reason and I don't know why...

But I really want to try them though because I'm a coffee FREAK!

My favorite offer so far though is The Good Cook! I'm a cooking fanatic it and I just loooveee the books I got.
