So I'm thinking about getting my dad some tickets for Father's Day since he's really a big Beatles fan.

Now here's some questions.

My mom and dad would obviously drive to vegas, but I wouldn't pay for the hotel. Do you think that it's cheesy to pay $300 for tickets and not provide a hotel? Or do you think he'd be willing to front the bill for that?

I don't have all the money in the world, so I'm trying to do the cheapest route here.

Also, should I buy tickets soon, do you know? I'm not used to buying concert/show tickets.

Aren't the Beatles long since dead? Just kidding ...

As far as your questions, though, it sounds like they would already be going to Vegas, yes? If that is that case, then wouldn't they already have a hotel room?

In my opinion, if they are going to be where the show is, they getting them the tickets but not hotel should be fine. It gives them a choice about where to stay.

As to buying tickets soon, I would recommend getting them sooner rather than later, especially if it is a popular thing (and the Beatles ... well, they were certainly popular )).

I'm sorry to break the news to you EatChex89... but the beatles are no longer together. They broke up in 1970.

Just because you heard them on the radio doesn't mean they are still around.

LOL, wow..

EatChex, that show looks so awesome. Outside the entrance, there are these wild changing walls/lights/etc. Since you're not going, here are some photos to motivate you to buy your parents tickets. If you're buying them hotel tickets, do you plan to buy them at the Mirage (where the show is)? If not, right accross the street is the Imperial Palace, and it's quite a decent hotel for a good price & it gets the job done nicely.

That wall is so much fun because it changes colors constantly and it's huge. Great photo op.

Anyway, right outside there is a lounge called The Beatles Revolution lounge. Inside is one of the interesting clubs I've seen in Las Vegas. The walls are all projected on with fun patterns, and you can write on the tables with your fingers and it will project your writing onto the walls. Here are some examples

I have the CD and I would love to see the show. Chex I think your parents would love the present and maybe in return in the future they will buy you a house or maybe an airplane.

well, here's the thing. $300 is already a lot of money for me, and I don't want to pay for the hotel. But do you think that it would be thoughtless not to pay for the hotel? Obviously they wouldn't want to drive home that night.

Yer paying a lot of money for the tickets they can find a hotel along the way home, its more fun that way or they can get a hotel there themselves.
