I just got a PS3. I am wondering. Can you take a ps2 or ps game and save it on the hard drive to play? If so, how? If not, that sucks.

I don't have one, as I don't like them, but I just asked my friend who is over here, and he says there is no way he knows of.
Possibly try google.com, and search, as he said there may me a mod for it if you wanna take the risk..

Do you mean save the actual game onto it, or have the hd act like a memory card?
I mean save the actual game...

You HAVE to have the USB adapter that allows you to insert a ps2 memory into it. So your going to need the adapter + the ps2 memory card.

the ps3 makes a virtual memory card for ps2/ps games saves. i think that the only games that you can actually store on your ps3 are games from psn.

It won't work because of the blu-ray.... I think that Micro and Sony did things to prevent the virtual ownage that was the xbox (as in saving games to the hard drive).
It makes me mad... I was planning on storing some of my older PS2 games that i still like playing and then trading them in. Oh well.
