Need Concert Advice ASAP - FreeiPodGuide Forums

Ok Gwen Stefanie and Akon are playin here tonight and they have lawn seats for $10. I wanna surprise my wife when she gets out work, thing is though...concert starts at 730 and she gets outa work at 7. There is an opener to the conert that I wouldn't care about....question is now is lawn seats good for that price? And what do you do on lawn seats? Do you party? Can you bring your own beer? If not, how much do beers usually run at concerts in the lawn sections? I've only been to one concert and beers were 2 bucks a can.

Also would it be to much of a hassle getting there after it starts??

$10 for lawn seats isn't a bad deal at all (of course it depends on who you're seeing). I haven't seen any lawn seats that allow you to bring your own beer, as it's still considered a part of the 'venue'. It shouldn't be too much of a hassle getting there..If it were the Beatles, that'd be another story lol ) You should be fine, have fun if you go!!!

haha, i just went to my new hair dresser and she had two tickets she wasn't using...she just gave them to me!! Lawn tickets were sold out at ticketmaster too....this is awesome! And I guess the concert ends around 11 so then I can go out and party after that

That's a really good price for that big of an act. I don't know why you would want to party during a concert, seems to me like you would want to watch the show...

Personally, I hate to be behind "party" people if it's a band I really want to see. They often act like they're at a club and don't even look at the stage.

We had the basic lawn seats, we stood the whole time, like everyone else. I liked the lawn seats cuz you can see over everyone else and their had two huge monitors so you can see and shit.

I'm going to the fall out boy concert next month, that should be fun

And also 311, and linkin park I just noticed are coming here too soon, so i'll have to buy tickets for that.

I'm seeing Tool on June 23rd here in town with my dad, John Mayer and Ben Folds on June 30th in Indianapolis, and Dave Matthews Band on August 17th and 18th in Indianapolis. I just saw that 311 is coming to Indy too, I may have to go see them.

What concerts has everyone been seeing this summer?

So far I have seen

Tool/Melt Banana, some Japanese band, AWFUL)-here in Fort Wayne
Guster/Ben Kweller-Lawn at the White River, Indianapolis, this was a great show, and a smaller venue

And yet to come
Interpol/Calla-Murat Theater Egyptian Room, Indianapolis-tomorrow night

Dave Matthews Band/Umphrey's McGee-Verizon Wireless Music Center, Noblesville, August 17th and 18th

I will be going to the Warped Tour tomorrow in buffalo, ny. I have been going since 2002 when it was held in this small park in Buffalo called, La salle. In 2003 it was moved to a PAC and in one year completely changed. Tickets were $25 in 2002 and in 2003 went to $35. I still goto the warped tour every year, but it's changed significantly over the last few years. Any other people who have been going to the warped tour over the past 10 years notice the change. It was inevitable, but I wish I could go back to 2002.
