Funnest place in Florida

The wife and I are going to FL for a week, we're just thinking about where we wanna go. We've done the Orlando/Disney thing too much so that's outta the question. We're looking for places around the major airports.

I voted other- go to Siesta Key. It's about an hour, maybe hour and a half south of Tampa, very nice beaches.

Miami and south beach are pretty awesome.

Clear Water Beach is awesome.

South Beach Miami is nice, but things are expensive there, especially if you eat out at restaurants.

If you like sushi, I recommend this place called "Dragon" in South Beach. I went there about a month ago and it was the best sushi I've ever had. It can be quite expensive though. I went with 3 friends and we spent $150 just on sushi (no drinks, but including tip).

Yeah I might be goin to Miami, we're looking for beaches of course, then some good night life, theaters, shopping, the usual.

I live in the MIA, and trust me it has all that you're looking for.

To be objective

Night life not going to find that in Daytona, marginal in Tampa; Miami has probably one of the top 5 nightlife scenes in the world

Theaters quite a few, Jackie Gleason is on the beach, plus a lot of smaller ones; again not much in Daytona, marginal in Tampa

Shopping its gonna be expensive in Miami, I'll tell you that

In my experience the beaches in Tampa aren't all that great.
The area around Daytona does have really nice beaches.
Miami's beaches are good, but overcrowded if you want to go to the popular ones.

fort Meyers and Sanibel Island are really nice. Especially for a romantic getaway. The sunsets are awesome as well.

I love Busch Garden In Tampa. Probably have the most/best roller coasters in FL.
