What to do in NYC?

I'll be going to New York city next Wednesday-Sunday for BPA nationals.
Barack Obama will be speaking there, so it should be cool to hear him speak, but I'm looking for other things to do there.
I NEED TO TRY NEW YORK PIZZA, so make me some recommendations of good pizza.
I'll be staying in Manhattan, at the Sheraton, which is supposed to be a couple blocks from Central Park and Times Square.

Hmmm...
I always say visit
museums[=http//www.museumofsex.org/]museums. ;)
There's a nice pizza place on 80th & 1st, but that's prolly out of the way for you.
I'm really drawing a blank otherwise. I haven't done all those touristy things and I live here. )

Mmmmm Korean BBQ!!! SOOO Yummy!!! We get Korean bbq marinade at our local asian market. Then freeze some beef partially. Slice really thin while still slightly frozen. Marinate in bbq marinade for a couple hours. Grill. Eat like you've never eaten before....and this is just the homemade version. It's even better when prepared by professionals in a restaurant where you have the grills right in your own tables. Man I wish I was back in Japan where they have the BEST Korean bbq! Oh, about NYC, the list of things to do is just endless, but what I really love is just wandering around and seeing where that takes me. If it's your first trip, I would do the really touristy things like Empire State Bldg, the museums, stuff that the guidebooks tell you to do, then if you have more time, just check out neighborhoods and spend the morning or afternoon walking around them. Have fun!!
And BTW, I always found the pizza to be better in NJ (hate having to admit there's something good about NJ, used to live there, in-laws still do, so we go back a lot and it's not my favorite place, but the pizza ain't half bad).

I went to Madame Tussuad's in London, and it was really really cool, make sure you take a camera to take pictures with people, also, wear nicer looking clothes so you can stand real still next to one of the was people, and when someone comes up and starts looking you can scare the shit out of them D

MOMA and The Met are the best. Also Time Square at night, shopping on Fifth Avenue, St Patricks Cathedral (even if you arent religious its wonderful), Rockefeller Center, Empire State Building, Trade Center location (sad), Central Park, China Town, Bronx Zoo - list couild go on and on.
The subway can take you to a lot of these places. Also Im going to NYC this winter to shop (like usual) for Christmas I usually stay at Novotel in Times Square.

Definatley go buy Bed-Stuy a bit past midnight, very fun. Drive fast though. You could go to 40-40 if you like clubbing, but don't know if you're doing that stuff or just going to museums ? Queens has the best pizza, IMO. Also if you're in Chinatown go to Wo Hop, best Chinese food ever, the block is filled Chinese food places and all of them are empty except for Wo Hop, which is a tiny 10 table underground place with a line around the block during lunch or dinner time. And as x323smostwantedx said go to Busy Work Shop NY and pick me up some bape stuff ). If you're going to go to museums etc you could go to see the Statue of Liberty and the Empire state building. Also definatley go to Times Square to shop of course. Long Island has a lot of places to go paintballing if you like that. That's about it there is to do here.

Well, do the touristy things, but also do the awesome things.
Check out Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Statue of liberty (Don't go to it, just look at it) Empire State Building, and no doubt, Chinatown.
The only other borough I would recommend going to besides Manhattan would be Brooklyn. I love it in Brooklyn.
You can definetly make a day of just walking around Manhattan, no worries about that, but for the love of god, don't stay in the hotel room for anything other than sleeping, don't waste any time you have.

I got back into town around 7PM last night.
I love(d) New York. We flew into La Guardia, then took a shuttle to Manhattan. Our Sheraton was right down the street from Times Square, probably about a 5 minute walk. Wednesday night we went to Hard Rock Cafe and walked around Times Square, then went to the Yankees game Thursday afternoon against the Rangers, and the Yankees lost, so that's good. The subway was cool, I think it's more convenient than driving. On Friday we went to Ground Zero which was really depressing, then walked from Ground Zero to China Town and Little Italy. We ended up going in these back rooms of purse shops (the guys were severely outnumbered, but it was still fun to search for wallets and sunglasses for myself). We ate at La Mela's on Friday night in Little Italy and it was some of the best food I have ever had. If you live in NYC and haven't been to the 810 Deli & Cafe (it's on 7th and 52nd or something, RIGHT across from the Sheraton Hotel & Towers), GO. Best burger ever.
Anyway, I loved NYC, and want to live there.

Ah, yeah, understandable.
This homeless guy in China Town told us to "Go back to Indiana, or Albequerque, or wherever the fuck we are from." My friend told him to back to his cardboard box, and he can "go back to Alabama".
Guy wasn't even Asian, but it was funny as hell.
