In recent frequents to public restrooms I've noticed a growing epidemic, something that seemed few and far between not rampent. What is it you ask? People not washing their hands!!
I don't know what everybody else's view is on the topic but I think that your hands should be washed after the restroom is used. Now, I'm not gonna give anybody a hard time about doing a #1 and not washing. I personally dont' always wash my hands after that. But I think it is absolutly discusting when people go #2 and dont' bother to wash their hands.
I thought that almost all people washed at least after taking a #2 but I guess I was wrong. Lately I have seen so many people just not care. This has greatly increased my phobia of touching the handle of the bathroom door. shock
What do you think?

I wash my hands somewhat religiously, ESPECIALLY in a public restroom. I don't touch the door handles, either.
Apparently, a lot of people welcome the bacteria and possible infection or disease that can come from anyone.. Ew. Wash your damn hands.

I always wash my hands after using the bathroom. Even if you don't think your hands get dirty from just using the bathroom, you get so much stuff on them throughout the day that you really should wash them often, and after going to the bathroom is just a convenient time to do it.

Always without fail...with 3 kids, I need to set a good example to them. Of course, after washing, I have to apply hand moisturizer, so it's quite a production. Maybe I should just have a large box of disposable latex gloves to put on before "going", then just discard them after. wink

If faced with a sink, I will wash my hands whether I feel they have been soiled in some way or not. I don't do it obsessively, but we all accumulate dirt and bacteria by touching surfaces we think are clean anyway, and should probably wash more often.
The next best thing is purell hand sanitizer, which is now around every corner in every hospital. You could have a ward of amputees, and there would still be dispensers in there.

Most of the time I wash my hands, if I don't, it's usually because I forget. But always after #2.

Unless of course, you're wiping and your finger slips through. Then it gets the sniff test. If it doesn't pass, you have to wash.

I wash my hands twice with soap everytime. But then again, in public washrooms I use the second stall if they are on the left, the 3rd if they are on the right. Kinda OCD, I guess. I figure the hand-washing thing isn't about ME, I mean, I would know if I peed on my hand or something. But heck, it's a good way to ensure that you wash your hands often, which helps you to not get sick.

Honestly though, I wash my hands always if someone else is in the bathroom and not so much when no one is. I seriously think if I don't they run back to their office and tell everyone about me not washing my hands...

as a chef I have developed a habit of washing my hands after just about everything.
i guess its not a bad habit to have.
always surprises me how many people you see NOT wash there hands after peeing or dropping a deuce or smoking a cig or touching shit they shouldnt
