Who do you want your team to realistically draft?

i want paul posluszny from penn state for the steelers. im a big big PSU fan.. he might not even be the best fit, but i would go nuts if we draft him saturday.

Packers fan here.

I want Marshawn Lynch from Cal. I know he has character issues, but I think he's talented. I would say Adrian Peterson, but there's no way we're gonna get him unless we trade up (not likely).

NICE! Packer fan as well and I'd like to see them draft Lynch too but if he gets taken before their spot then I'd like to see them trade down and get more players. They need a RB, DE, and TE...

I'm a HUGE NFL fan in general with about 10 favorite teams! The Broncos probably top that list, but i'm just excited for the Draft and seeing where everyone goes!

Kiper has Poslunzny going to the Pats, I don't know if a linebacker is what the Steelers are looking for, but the Pats could sure use some more defense.

Does JaMarcus go #1?

tylerc

27-04-2007 10:07:47

I think he will, he tore up ND in the Sugar Bowl.

Calvin Johnson would be hard to pass up though, big and FAST.

[quote5a8a204976="Wolfeman"]Does JaMarcus go #1?[/quote5a8a204976]

They passed on a QB last year because they had Brooks and Walter...that turned out real well. They need a QB bad. They don't need Calvin Johnson, they have Moss!!! roll roll roll
Actually come to think of it...they just need help on Offense all around! So i guess they can just take their pick. I'd take Russell though, but what do i know. I just watched them suck all year!

my gut tells me that a DE/LB convert would better fit pittsburgh, which Poz is not. after watching him play at PSU over the past few years, i cant help but wish he would play for the steelers though. he has the best instincts of any defensive player in the draft, thats for sure. i am just a bit worried about his physical abilities translating to the pros more than anything. i just dont want to see us take a CB, which a lot of people think we may do.

johnjimjones

27-04-2007 15:25:40

The Patriots might not go with a LB since they got that guy (I can't remember his name) this offseason for defense. Frankly the Patriots could use another good offensive lineman with Banta-Cain gone.

I'm a Packer fan too, but haven't kept up with sports much lately so I don't know who is the best out there right now. I'll just agree with my fellow Packer fans, because I am sure they are right.

Adalius Thomas is the LB they signed. It will be interesting to see what the Pats do...they have done nothing but upgrade their already good team this offseason and look to be ready to make another run deep into the playoffs next season.

I couldn't be happier with their offensive pickups Daunte Stallworth and Wes Welker, both quality receivers to finally give Brady some better targets. Although I'm not a fan of Reche Caldwell still being around, we'll see how that goes ?

I heard Oakland was interested in Quinn, but that could just be a smokescreen(not that it should matter since theyre first). So if Oakland takes Quinn/Jamarcus then what do the Lions do at 2? Do they take another WR? We know about their history of 1st round receivers. how will lions fans react? I think Lions should just trade down.

The latest news i found say the lions have decided on Calvin Johnson if Oakland takes Russell. We will see...that could just be trade bate for a team like the Bucs. Roy Williams has worked out well for Detroit...can't say much about the other recievers however. I would trade the pick and draft for a need...but who knows.

Jacksonville would be crazy to pass on Quinn if he drops to them. Leftwich if injury prone and Garrard wasn't impressive at all last year. I'd like to see Quinn go to the Chiefs, but i would imagine they would have to trade up...

zr2152

28-04-2007 12:10:59

wow, quinn still not picked. Im kinda glad my browns passed on him. I like the browns pick though. We need to get the line figured out. I mean we have a decent running back now, a good recieving core (winslow is going to leave after this yr though) and maybe, and i mean maybe, an OKAY QB if Frye can get his act together.

word is the browns are interested in trading and still getting Quinn. I'm still expecting the Jags to take him right here...i could be wrong.

I don't think Carolina is looking for a QB after signing Carr to back up Delhomme. I would think the Chiefs gotta be salivating over the chance at Quinn though...they don't have a QB if they trade Trent Green which they have been trying to do. Green is getting old and so is the backup Huard.

The Browns are definitely making some great moves in the last couple years to help their offense.

Have a good young OL with now Thomas and Steinbach. Hopefully LeBentley Charles came come back from knee surgery. They went out and picked up Jamal Lewis through FA. Have a couple of young players in Winslow and Edwards.

Now they need to address their defense....overall a good draft so far.

What a draft for the Patriots. They only drafted one person in 3 rounds and made one of the best deals during the draft. Next year's first round pick isn't even going to cost them since they traded to get an extra one for next year. Impressive.

The risk is minimal. The Pats have made it clear that there will be a zero-tolerance policy, and Moss knows this is probably his best shot at a superbowl ring (individual accomplishments are often eclipsed by whether or not they've got a ring). Also, Moss has always been happy when he had an able-QB throwing to him (notice he never had problems in Minnesota until Culpepper started playing like shit?)...and there are enough "acknowledged" leaders and high-character players that Moss' "character issues" shouldn't be much of a threat.

I've been a Moss fan since his days back @ Marshall, and I don't much like the Pats, but I hope he gets a ring or two...he's one of the greatest receivers to ever play the game.
