It has come to my attention that some of you don't like Tinkerjenn's threads. This is, in my view, a reasonable reaction to many of them.

However, the level of threadcrapping in them is unprecedented. Neither the tone nor the frequency of this verbal diarrhea is acceptable here. What's more, every turd you drop in her threads nourishes them, keeping them alive and intensifying the problem.

The simplest way to keep threads like these from proliferating is to ignore them. Don't post in them to say you're ignoring them--just ignore them. They will fade from the first page and will be forgotten.

You will also be spared a 7-day ban, which is my penalty of choice for those who defecate in threads. However, I reserve the right to get more creative.

My point is that people are entitled to their opinions about your threads, but that there is an appropriate way to express them and that few have taken that route.

You undoubtedly have seen many posts in your threads that should indicate some of the sentiments about them. I am just warning folks not to continue making posts like those.

I have no problem with her, just her threads.

It's always amusing when the staff has to make specific threads regarding issues everyone has taken with a specific member.

I never have a problem with random topics as long as they have some point and have something to talk about. There are other users that shall remain nameless that once they had a rep for starting dumb threads no matter what they started, even if it was a good thread, was crapped on. Its really childish IMO...

Folks, this is a public board, with an Off Topic forum. As long as a topic doesn't break the rules, and merits some discussion by at least a couple other members (not necessarily ALL members) then it's generally fair game. If you don't like, take a lesson from Kidd and back out of it. If you feel it's really a violation, use the Report function to report it. Then sit back, relax, and let the staff take it from there. If something needs to be said to them, one of us will take care of it.

Threadcrapping is against the rules, regardless, and will only serve to get YOU in trouble here.
