I may be a teenager.. but I am looking to invest my money I make at work, into stocks. I've always heard to invest in what you like, being electronics for myself. Does anybody know a site for investing tips and such? Also if any of you have had eperience with this.. please put your input because any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Invest everything you have in a single penny stock and find out if God loves you.

I've actually thought about putting $4,000 into something like that just for the hell of it because I might get lucky and I really don't need the money right now. I don't have to pay rent or buy food yet. P

If instead of not needing the money now you don't need it ever, then go for it.

Here's a link for stocks http//www.howstuffworks.com/stock.htm
I've been interested in doing the same thing, charles schwab seems to be a great place to start if you're really serious about it.

Hope this helps you out.

If you are starting out, go with a place like Scottrade. Very low fews, and if you are starting you probably aren't investing much, so those fees can be a huge %.

those wont yield too much.

Go with stocks. Make sure you study the trade market to see which stocks to invest in.

Please do yourself a favor and open an IRA and put the money in an index that will give you a balanced asset allocation like Vanguard's Target Retirement 2050.

IRA's? stocks? mutual funds? these arent the type of thigs free money should be used for. ...Its one thing if this is your only source of income
but if freebie money is money you're getting on top of your regular job you should be having fun with it. Get those stupidly expensive shoes, get that $600 massage chair, get something you want but dont wanna spend hard earned money for.

I've been investing for the last year and a half or so. I have a brokerage with TD Ameritrade and coulden't be happier with their service. IF you are looking to signup, you PM me so I can give you my Invite Friend link? I Can give you some of my stock tips + Advice as well. Heres a quickie, Just bought 3000 AMRN @ 0.82. I don't normaly buy stocks under a dollar, but this one looks way oversold. Company anounced that their best drug had dissapointing results in clinical trials, but they have 32 Million in cash, and nearly no debt, and can progress their 3 other drugs. Just a "Look into" stock, Very risky at this point. I don't follow "Tips" but when I see a stocktip, I'll do my own due diligience before putting money into it. And you should always do the same.

If all you're doing is looking at past performance...you've got a lot to learn. I haven't myself looked at the stock, but the only penny stock I currently own is NeoMedia (I believe it trades as NEOM and NEOM.OB); I have 900 shares.

Not going to do the research for you (unless you pay me). Apple is a great pick, don't forget about Apple TV as another driver.

Just wanted to make sure you know that # of shares does not make a difference, it is about how much money you put in. 100 shares for $1 and a share for $100 are the same except that there is general investor psychological effects that come into play with stocks above $100, and as a personal rule I stay away from stocks under $5 because they are in my opinion poorly valued for their earnings.

As far as AAPL, that is your choice. I would have thought the probes into their accounting would have beaten the stock down more but it didn't, so no real buying opportunity emerged there. Keep in mind you will be buying into a technology stock with a P/E ratio of 33. You can interpret this how you wish. They are a large company (~80bill market cap) yet do not deliver any type of dividend. I will not tell you how to interpret this as many share different views about this fact. Also, keep in mind that a stock price includes future expectations. Obviously, investors expect the iphone to sell units (although it only runs with Cingular). This means that if the iphone sells better than expected you will see capital gains, but if it does not meet expectations, you will see capital loss. It is up to you to decide whether the iphone is hyped up to the point to where it cannot exceed expectations or if it will be easy to exceed expectations.

Understand that by investing in a single stock you will be very volatile, especially in a quick-changing industry like technology. Even owning two stocks can decrease your volatility even if both are risky (although Apple is not that risky). To diversify all of the risk possible you must around 30 stocks, which is why an index can return the same rate but with lower risk.
