I feel kind of like an idiot asking this, but am I missing something.....what's with the whole "recieve" thing. Is there some kind of grassroots movement to change its spelling???

I'm not aware of this phenomenon, but if I had to guess, it's probably similar to "BANT"

The "[id0876efae1]i[/id0876efae1] before [id0876efae1]e[/id0876efae1] except before [id0876efae1]c[/id0876efae1]" rule probably confuses people here.

This is why I don't disable the spell check on my posts. I spell that word wrong about 50% of the time (mainly because I guess at the order).

It's not my fault that English has whack spelling.
