20 years old today. I'll admit that I haven't watched the show so devotedly in the past few years as I have previously. But is there truly anything else from pop culture that has invaded our lives more than this show? Everyone, on every continent of the Earth knows about them. Most can recite lines and those of our generation could recite episodes word for word. And of course the long awaited movie is coming out 8)

Yeah me too, I wonder how the movie will turn out though?

Althought not how I would like to see it, I imagine not so good. I'm guessing that the movie may lead to the demise of the Simpsons.

I think you misunderstood, or I didn't explain myself well. Or both.

I'm not saying that I'm not gonna watch it. Or that I will and I won't like the simpsons anymore.

I'm saying that I dont' think the movie is going to be the greatest, and I dont' think it is going to do as well in the box office as expected. And I think because of that there is a good chance the Simpsons will soon be ending.

I've seen clips of the movie through the work I do. The movie itself is damn funny, at least from what I've seen - right up there with the show. However, what's going to ruin it for most Simpsons fans is the music. Hans Zimmer, who has a reputation for not composing more than 10% of the music he takes credit for, was hired to do the score. Alf Clausen, Simpsons extraordinaire was denied the contract because Hans, being the little whiney bitch he is, called up Rupert Murdoch, a friend of his, and put some leverage on Fox to allow Hans to do the score. In Hans' contract as the Dreamworks studio music head it says that he has first pick over any Dreamworks picture he wants, except for those of Steven Spielberg, which John Williams always does. At any rate, as Dreamworks has a major financial invetsment in the picture, Hans activated his contract clause with no regard whatsoever for Alf Clausen who created and mastered the sound from the show. All I'm sayin' is this score is one piece of shit. They need to fire Hans and his team of 15 ghost writers and hire that bad ass Alf Clausen!
