Well, this may seem obvious, but, idk if you've ever actually been to NYC and have seen all the things it has to offer, but that alone is a great trip. But, in case you have, Atlantic city I hear is good for gambling and whatnot, and the Jersey shore. Bring me back some fireworks from however south you go D

Williamsburg, VA and Virginia Beach, VA are nice - I also like Alexandria, VA and Mount Vernon. Luray Caverns, VA is my childhood hot spot and you can pick up Shenandoah National Park and look at the great views and spring taking over. Baltimore, MD is good as long as you stay near the harbor (where I live) or Annapolis, MD. Lancaster and Gettysburg, PA. Rehobeth Beach, DE.

Philly is a good stop-by-for-one-day kinda thing on a vacation. We stayed there over night and it wasn't that great (the history of the city and driving around and what-not is cool though).

Boston is a MUST-see, coolest city..

If you are in to more of the history kind of vacation, I suggest doing some of the revolutionary war stuff as well as the civil war.. lots of battle sites and Gettysberg is pretty amazing.

NYC is also a must see.

Places to definitely see Boston, NYC, Washington D.C., amish villages in Penn/West Virginia, and if you go farther north in northeast NY there are beautiful mountains (and up in New Hampshire/Maine).. if you are into the hiking/outdoors scene.

If you enjoy cannabis (whether it's a casual joint or bowl after bowl) and you're on the East Coast, check out Toronto... I think they have a cannabis-friendly cafe somewhere downtown.

... and if you're ever traveling in the west coast, go to Seattle, check the scene there, then head to Vancouver and check out Blunt Bros. on 301 West Hastings.

I think Boston would be cool, but the accent and ridiculous amount of Patriots fans would probably make me blow my brains out after the second day.

Maybe it's because I live there, but there isn't shit to do in Philly. Unless you want to come over my house for a game of Scrabble. shrug

The accent isn't as strong in the city, and the Sox fans are in greater force at the moment.

I also agree that you should visit Virgina Beach, but is nothing compared to west coast beaches.

One you drive I would recommend taking scenic routes. Sometimes the best stuff can be found away from all of the hot spots.

I gotta say...I'm partial to Philly! I don't live there, but I wish I did. So I just visit when I can...not a history buff or anything, just like the vibe of it. An "Eastern Seaboard Road Trip" starting in Boston and making your way down to DC would be pretty cool, you'd hit all the great cities along the way. In any case, enjoy!!

It's... uh... in the mail. Seriously though, if it's something that can't be bought in the states, and it's small enough to fit in a suitcase... and you know where I can get one in the UK... I could bring one back and ship it.

Egyptianruin, you're totally right in wanting to go to Japan...it's an awesome place!! I grew up there and miss it terribly!! I haven't been back in 2 years because it's just really difficult to travel that far with 3 kids (even though the plane seats usually have individual screens showing the Disney Channel). Hope you get to go soon!!

Toronto isn't on the coast.

Gotta love the fact that Van (where I am) is known for our weed. Great. I don't even smoke the stuff.
