I'm sure you'll get sound advice once you transfer to Yale D

My mom's hairstylist wrote a book... I'm not sure if it's published yet. It's taken her a really long time to write it, and she had to do a lot of research and editing.

Not really useful, but anything to get the post count up.

That's a really vague question. Are you talking about self-publishing, or traditional publishing? Since you said novels, I assume you are only referring to fiction - because there are a lot of differences between fiction and nonfiction, in terms of how you get into it.

My mother and great grandfather have both gotten books published, and my family has self-published a cookbook that has been reasonably successful in parts of the midwest. I also have a lot of friends from college who have published books, both fiction and nonfiction. I really don't know what to tell you, though, without more specifics from you.
