I just got billed for 6 months of WoW because I forgot to cancel the auto-pay after my free trial roll So I guess I will be playing it again, anyone want to start at the same time as me and we can work our way up together?

What's so special about that game if I may ask? I've never played it, or even know what it's about.

I think it's a RPG or MMORPG, and I hate those, with passion.

how do you know you hate them without playing them? that judgement is based soley on ignorance (no offense), but WoW has something going for it to be able to have 8 million monthly paying players. try it, and if you dont like it. dont cancel...but dont hate without trying....(even though oblivion is way better then WoW. lol)

so are you going to be starting a new WoW charecter? cause i am only at level 6 (human warlock)..pm me if you wanna play. we can set up some teamspeak.

Don't play the game, spending countless hours on a imaginary charcter in a virtual world will get you no where in life just make you fat and alot of time wasted when you could be doing something productive in the world of earth.

Quit warning me against it, did you not read that I payed for 6 months? ? And Phriq, I just made a character, so do you want to restart yours and join me on my server? I have a few buddies on it with me.

An IT consultant came to one of my classes today as a guest speaker and these were her words

"Only a small portion of the people at our firm are 'code monkeys'. They love to program. They program at work. They program at home. Then they play World of Warcraft all night."

My roommate has the game but he doesn't play it that often (once every couple of weeks for a few hours each time). I personally have never liked RPG's and have started to lose interest in video games for the most part (excluding GTA and Guitar Hero). The episode of South Park [ief6412477a]is[/ief6412477a] what a lot of people think of when they think of WoW. It is not true in a lot of cases, but sometimes it is. I understand the whole concept of wanting to get away (and enter a virtual world) and relax by playing video games but if it consumes all of your time and you are thinking about it nonstop, you have some issues that need to be worked out.

So Gooogler, play and enjoy the game but play it for what it is a video game. Nothing more, nothing less. Otherwise you will end up being a fat piece of shit that spews shit into/onto a bedpan that your mother holds behind you because you can't leave the computer.

Don't play WoW kids, don't they hire psychologists to analyze how addictive it is and then change it accordingly? shock

You're right.

It's impossible to play a video game AND have a life.

That's why I play Halo 2 and Guitar Hero and other XBOX 360 games, but I'm the BPA vice president, take AP classes and college classes, and have been offered scholarships and different colleges.

Halo 2 consumed my life for 2 years.

Maybe I should stay away from video games ?

Clearly you've never played WoW. When you play WoW it ends up being your life, it's a sad fact. Halo is different, games/rounds end, WoW is more or less endless.

I don't play them because I don't play MMORPGs. I'm going to have to start playing MU because I'm going to be sys admin for that game...

If you want you can play on the forgotten coast server. I have a 62 warrior there. Our guild has ventrilo and is accepting new members.

Yeah I'll eventually be the sys admin of MU and then get a better game later. Right now I'm corporate IT just learning the game...

I'm in Garithos and just rolled a Blood Elf Priest, only level 13. Any takers?

And yeah, WoW CAN be addicting, but its more the person than the game itself. I play it in moderation, once every few days usually. It's fun, but I can stop.

I have a site to get free wow gold in my network. If anyone wants to know the link you can PM me. I will provide it. You can get 50-500 gold free and you can refer people also to get gold. It is the only site of its kind. It is like a GPT it just pays in gold. We will be adding other WoW items soon so you can play it for free and things like that.

I played WoW for a little while and hated it. I just got bored when I played it. The only game I really play now is Halo 2.

I was addicted to WoW and i was playing that game non-stop for 6 months. the normal routine was.. wake up around 8 or 9am jump on the comp. occasionally get up for snacks/bathroom. 7pm eat dinner on the comp while playing. 10pm..still playing. 1am goes to sleep and begins the routine again.

i quit WOW when i was standing outside of gamestop at 12am waiting for them to open the doors for the expansion lol. i ended up geting my preorder expansion and selling it to some guy in line that didnt preorder lol.

My friend was not so fortunate. He started playing wow when the beta came out and is still playing it. i think that was about 2 or 3 years ago. He does not go to school or have a job, so he plays wow 24/7 non-stop and im damn serious that he plays 24hours a day. He moved his computer in to his bedroom right next to his bed, so basically once he wakes up he is on the computer lol.

He has both alliance and Hored accounts and have all classes level 60 and his 2 main 70.
i stopped talking to him for about 2 or 3 months cause we no longer have anything to talk about...

i hope no one will be addicted as much as my friend is. just enjoy the game

I've played a lot of games in my day. Went through Warcraft II, Diablo II LOD, etc etc. I found Diablo way more addicting than WoW. I played Diablo for a good while but just used up the trial for WoW and that was it. I just thought it was too slow paced and I just didn't get into it very much. For the past year or two I've stuck to 360 and play Gears of War, Crackdown and of course Halo 2. I will be addicted to Halo 3, no doubt. P

bah I used to play it a year ago. But I just aint an RPG type of fellow, I prefer a good shooter anytime over rpg's. Just find it boring and slow paced.
