I saw a piece on TV about these thuggish collection agencies. Then again, these guys were calling people related to the debtor, not the direct person responsible for some outstanding debt. I don't know your situation.
Definitely record them, because once they make a threat against you they are screwed. If they are local, I bet your local news would love to cover it as well.

Most states allow one-party consent for recordings. A few states even have no-party consent (i.e. you can listen in on a conversation and record it legally)! So check the laws in your state regarding phone recordings.

If they commited fraud to all their customers they wouldnt be still around. Their collection agency choice is just as fraudulant as them. No respectable company would hire Pinnacle Financial Group to do their collections.
Mr. Carelton Sheets and whoever runs Pinnacle Financial Group both need to be hung.

Yeah. Im sure theyll call again. Today was the first time I actually said hello to them on the phone and they went all off lol. So unprofessional.... I call back and the same girl answers who was harassing me. Then she says oh its you and goes off again. Then she calls back and kept the number private lol. I think she didnt realize she didnt call private from her 800 number the first time haha.
Cool thing is in the state of georgia only one party has to consent to recording. Im gonna tell her that on the phone after she harasses me for a while.

tell them u need it as u are part of a charity organization and are looking into using their product to purchase and remodel homes for charity. that will make them feel guilty )
also, if they fail to send u confirmation of your charges or purchase then u likely cannot be held accountable. if u did not get confirmation of the purchase or trial how can u pay for it ;)
as for the harassment, tell them the first time they called it was ur 11 year old brother and u will be calling your local DA to charge them with endangering the wellfare of a child ;)

I don't like Carlton Sheets either. I never received a confirmation email from them and when I asked for one they would not sent it. When I called to cancel they practically called me stupid. Very intimidating. I just kept saying "all I want to do is cancel" and I finally got through to them. What a pain. Newbs stay away from them and there offers.
