I work at a Catholic based hospital and they do not consider good friday or easter a holiday -- Of all holidays - what up with that? Now I gotta use my PTO - I have no choice! That blows!

I got a memo from HR today.. Apparently the average salary for my position, in the Metro-Detroit area went up this year, so as of April 1, I got a pretty decent raise.
The best part is, I'm still eligible for a yearly merit-based raise at my annual review in June.

My company is due a salary survey here. I've done some investigation on my own, and if they want to stay competitive (for my job) I would get a $4/hour raise, PLUS my yearly merit ;)

I FEEL YOUR PAIN!
the good thing about my job is the 200 hours PTO to start (5 weeks)
the bad thing is..well it's payroll/HR so everything else ;)
