college students?

Alright, yet again I have to do another survey for this dumb project...it really is dumb. We are supposed to come up with a creative brief about jeans for college campuses...I think jeans with your school logo on it is a stupid idea but that is just me. If anyone can help me with this it will be greatly appreciated, and of course +karma. I know it's dumb and if anyone has any bright ideas about a better way to go about this your opinions would be fantastic.

ADDED what does anybody think about ripped jeans with some sort of patches that are in school colors...and one of the patches is the mascot of the school logo or something. Anybody have any thought on that?

After reading ilanbg's response it made me thing of something. What if you commute and live with your parents. It's not really the same thing as a house.

How is one's living arrangements relevant to the survey, anyway? For marketing purposes? To see if there's a correlation between 'school spirit' (i.e. willingness to buy these jeans) and on-campus v. off-campus housing? I'd think a yes/no question to dorm would be sufficient, in that case.

Yeah I guess...I have to know the demographics of the consumer, so it is more me wondering if living on campus makes people more willing to purchase a product like it.

a yes or no would be sufficient I guess...when I made this survey I wasn't really thinking like that...but that is definitely a good change to it. I will definintely change that.

How about subtlety? Jeans with the school colors, but not blatant. You could use thick, bright stitching in one color and bleached and dyed denim for the rest?

Might be ugly depending on the colors.

Or a side stripe of one color on one leg and the other on the other leg.

seems a little weird though. Maybe regular jeans with the school seal stitched onto the back pockets. The seal is subtle, more so than a symbol or mascot or colors.
