so earlier, i was refreshing the main page of yahoo to see who won.... all of a sudden there was a popup and i closed it.. after posting and browsing a few topics, i decide that it's time to go to sleep. i close all my programs and see that there is a new sport icon on my desktop!

how does that work? the icon just automatically gets on my desktop! i didn't even click on anything on the popup either. sites can really store things onto your computer?

hmmmmmmmmmm

Run Ad-Aware[=http//www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/]Ad-Aware. It's probably spyware you picked up somewhere.

Firefox[=http//www.getfirefox.com]Firefox is always good against pop ups and everything else

Also I have found that spy-bot search & destroy picks up many things ad-aware leaves behind.

I always use both programs when I clean a machine.

I've discovered that Webroot SpySweeper finds even MORE stuff, but you have to pay for it. (
