So I got to schedule classes today and I was in shock. Usually I go through and pick what classes I want to take before I get to schedule and then when it comes time to schedule I get maybe one of the classes that I wanted.

I scheduled today and there were seats open and still open after I scheduled. It really is amazing the difference a semester makes on scheduling, especially when you take 18 credits and get to schedule a few hours before everybody else. Probably because 300 and 400 level courses are more advanced and less pepole take them unless they are actully in that major too.

Sorry if this is boring for people. But I was really happy with how well that went. I dunno about other colleges but scheduling a nightmare at Bloom.

What do you mean by stupid people in the works?

and Thanks! I'm pumped. I hope the last class I want is still open when I am able to schedule the last 3 credits. I'm a little disappointed about that. But I'm thinking it will be open because it's a 400 level 6-9 class with 40 seats available. I dont' think the freshman and sophomores are gonna fill that up.

Oh I am dreading signing up for classes at my school! I have three more classes I am taking this summer...one of which is only offered once with only 20 seats available and I need it to graduate! I also have to get into a class that there are two sections but only 15 seats in each sections...I am nervouse about getting into them, cause I am so ready to graduate!! good luck with your last class...

Ouch Summer classes.

Here at least summer classes are guaranteed. So it's not too hard to get into them.

I dunno what you can do at your school but I'm usually pretty sneaky when I can't get into a class I want. This semester I didn't have to do that but if you need a course in your major you just go to the department head and they can override the system and get you into the class.

So what I would do was schedule a class that isn't in my major (because most other departments wont' do an override if you arn't in their major) and drop the class that was in my major that I had scheduled at that time. Then I would to to the department secretary and tell them that I needed to get into such and such at class at this exact time and they would get me into it.

I dunno if that explained what I was trying to say. But it's a good tip. It worked for me every semester but this one because I didn't need to do that yet. lol

Good luck with scheduling. What school do you go to anyway.

Yeah I'm on a lot. 18 credits and I'm an accounting major. And I have all 300-400 level classes. I really miss the 100 level classes, even the 200 levels were a lot better than what I have now.

But yeah I need to get away from the forums a bit. Maybe start writing one of the two reports that I need to have done in a week. I like to procrastonate cuz I hate writing, but 12 page paper on international accounting issuses is gonna be tough especially when I dont' have a topic yet. roll

Hmmm....International Accounting Standards...that sounds like a root canal to me! Hate it for you...

Yeah I'm not a big fan, but it's a 400 level accounting course and I was told by the professor that it was easy, more like a 200 level. Well I learned my lesson. Never listen to a professor that tells you to take HIS class because it's going to be easy, it's really a lie just so there will be enough interrest in the class so he can teach it.
