Apple or HP

Does anyone know which they are giving away??? Apple or HP? Also, which type are the tech4free.com site giving away??? THanks

And from your experience, which is better for PC users??

It's an Apple, not an HP. (They used to have them, but no longer)

Supposedly, HP offeres more Windows support, but they work the same. Same drivers, same software.

I heard the only diff. is the support. Apparantly apples is really bad?

I wouldn't go as far as to say that Apple's support is "bad," it's really just a problem of volume. They have wayyyyy more questions/complaints than they have personnel to deal with.

I have also heard that they charge for calls to customre service, is this true?

Apple has free phone support for only 90 days. I'm sure you could go to the Apple store and get free support, however, if you needed it. Parts and labor are covered for a year.

All Apple products are available for the AppleCare upgrade to a two or three year warranty after purchase, but it's expensive. The HP iPod is covered by HP's standard one-year parts/labor and unlimited phone support.

so, the only real diff. between them is support

and the big HP + Mac on the iPod ;)
