lol what is the difference between them umm i can use my own money instead of threw a middle man of points. That is so dumb live was not that great the first 3 months it was on 360 so dont make that judgment against the ps3. And at least i can download full psx games on it not just arcade and wtf why download and pay for a movie or show when it deletes itself please get outta here wit that.

Where do you get this $1,000 figure? The unit is expected to sell for $479 next month and it comes with a 120 GB HDD... Early adopters aren't losing out on anything except an HDMI port... Which doesn't make much of a difference since you can get full 1080p output via VGA (doesn't make any difference to me at least).

I could go out and buy the 120 GB HDD and a VGA cable and I wouldn't be missing out on anything.

Why cant the xbox360 and ps3 both be good for evryone. Why does one have to be better then the other. Will your life be more complete if the ps3 or xbox 360 is the more dominant machine? IS their a prize in the mail that the rest of us are unaware of?

I have a 360 modded and after fixing a laser it works perfectly and allows me to play backups which is a huge boost for the 360. Game selection is pretty decent right now. A lot of people with the machine so a lot of people play on xbox live. Its a nice community they got going there.

I dont have a ps3 yet but plan on getting one soon. Its drawbaks ATM are the inability to play backups(at least until apradox or whoever releases a loader). I also heard the game lineup isnt great but who cares especially since most of us recieve our consoles from these free sites or use cash/gc's attained from the free sites to purchase em. Anyways I think the ps3 will be fine and it does aLLOW the hdmi connection.

Why limit your options as if you're married to a console. Have fun use the other system/mistress once in a while. Play your favorite game ont he system your more unfamiliar with to give your friends a better chance of beating you.

Speaking of Blu-Ray... I hear it's not doing well in the E.U. and HD-DVD is actually outperforming the Blu-Ray in Europe (HD DVD with an 85% market share with help from the new $499 HD DVD player).

Regardless, neither formats are going to go anywhere anytime soon... No matter how many times Sony declares themselves the winner.

I really want sony to win this next gen war.... They've made some mistakes(some = a lot ( ) but sony can still turn things around. All they need to do is get their online service to be nearly as good Xbox live's, stop losing out on exclusive titles and unleash more of the PS3's full potential

You realize it comes out to less than $1/week, right? If it's not worth it to you, don't pay it. Personally, $50/year is worth it for me. Now, FFXI, which costs like $15/month on top of the XBOX Live fees, is a rip off, but less than $1/week is hardly expensive.
