I have sleep issues too...

I used to have sleep issues but I don't have them too much anymore. You just have to learn to clear your mind. Also, it helps me if I kind of move my eyes around inside my eyelids to simulate REM sleep. After I do it for a while, I start thinking totally bizarre thoughts and quickly forgetting them. That means you're really close to falling asleep.

Yea, same here...I normally just try and set pushup and sit up records and I kind of drift off to sleep, because I do the pushups and sit ups in the dark...It's fun )
THen I just watch some movie or show from my video server, but one that I've already watched, so I get bored and fall asleep.

I drink tons of caffeine, and it screws up my sleep patterns. Can't help it though. I guess I'm an addict. ;)

That is me EVERY NIGHT. I'm pretty high-stress, though (type-A) so that's probably why. Anyway, I finally talked to my doctor about it - she turned me on to [bff7467cb24]Melatonin.[/bff7467cb24]
It's not a Rx drug, but in the vitamin isle - and it's crazy but it TOTALLY knocks you out without feeling drugged in the morning. Be ready to sleep, though - it does the trick! )

"I start thinking totally bizarre thoughts and quickly forgetting them. That means you're really close to falling asleep."

VERY TRUE! I always know when I am falling asleep when I start thinking about really wierd things, really quickly.... Like you said you have to clear your mind, and breathe slowly. It used to take me 45 minutes - 2 hours to fall asleep, and now I can go to sleep in less than 10 minutes.

Edit IE hates transparent pngs.

I know, me 2...

I go to the gym and run or play raquetball and on those days i can sleep.

If I dont' make it to the gym. . .I got Relasom as a trial offer when I did a trainn site. When I first started taking it I felt like I was drunk and had the spins. But now when I take it I take 2 about 2 hours before I'm ready for bed and I'm fast asleep.

It's funny when you happen to remember really stupid things that your brain came up with (when you're like half asleep but not totally asleep). When you're thinking of it you think you have this genius idea and it turns out being retarded when you return to a normal consciousness.

I have RLS (http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Restless_Legs_Syndrome) which can really effect my sleep...

I love how these pharmaceutical companies have cures for relatively unimportant disease (ie RLS), but can't seem to find cures for the more pressing diseases.

I have a fairly mild case so I'm lucky but when its really bad it is maddening. Seriously it is just the worst, its like torture...

It has pretty much become impossible for me to sleep before 230AM, and that's early...If I'm excited for the next day, sometimes I just stay up the whole night and just take naps.

I have a restless eye lately, and I mean that literally, not just ogling the ladies. ;) I'm seeing an eye doc next week.

I have RLS too as well as sleep apnea (

I have to wear a CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) mask every night, they did a sleep study on me and during a 5 1/2 hour period I quit breathing 105 times and I moved my legs 107 times roll I was always waking up exhausted! x
