I've got tickets to the Grindhouse studio premiere on Monday in Los Angeles. Anybody think this movie is gonna be any good or anyone going to see it? I'll let you all know on Tuesday how it is.

From what I saw in the in-theater trailers, it seemed like they were trying to see how terrible they could make a Tarantino movie look and still have people go...
Can't seem to take this one seriously.

I can't wait! Tarentino is awesome. All his movies look bad in previews but when you actually see them they are awesome.

Me and my friends were at the theater watching "The Number 23" and this preview showed and after it was silent and I yelled out "I'll take you to my grindhouse!" and two girls behind me were like "ewwwww!"
It was great.

Trailers for tarentino movies are always pretty cheasy but his movies are awesome.
Now I know how my friend felt when everybody made fun of him for being excited about the upcomming Kill Bill!

Went to the Grindhouse LA Premiere last night. Let me tell you something about this movie...
IT HAS TO BE SEEN TO BELIEVED! Everything about this movie is done specifically for movie fans. If you enjoy gore, nudity, comedy, suspense, thrills, chills, and a simply awsome movie experience, you need to see this.
At the premiere, I also had the chance to meet Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez, Kurt Russell (who is incredible in Death Proof), Rosario Dawson (who is incredibly HOT in person), Freddie Rodriguez, Marley Shelton, Vanessa Ferlito, Tom Savini, Tracie Thoms, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead (a fairly newer actress who is also extremely good-looking)

Other people who were there that I didn't have a chance to meet were Rose McGowan, Eli Roth, Jordan Ladd, Rob Zombie, Harvey and Bob Weinstein, and Edgar Wright.

I was looking forward to seeing it...until they censored it. So I guess I'll wait for the HD video. One reason I don't go to theaters too often is that I hate having to pay $20.00 Plus to see censored movies, when I can wait 3 months and see them uncensored for a dollar or three!

It features two films, Tarantino's Death Proof, and Rodriguez's Planet Terror. Combined with some fake trailers it is 3 hours and 11 minutes long.
Currently 90%+ on rotten tomatoes.
I don't usually go to the movies, I'd rather buy the DVD for cheaper, but you get two movies for the price of one. Plus its Tarantino....

Dammit. The reviews on RT are really making me want to see this movie. According to the reviews, Tarantino's "Death Proof" is better than Rodriguez's "Planet Terror." Maybe I'll catch it this weekend. Nothing like a Tarantino slasher the day before Easter Sunday wink

Loved it. You have to see this in a theater with an audience.
[spoiler868470c304]Although Planet Terror has more eye candy (no, not women although those are there too), I prefered Death Proof in the end. I am in no way a Tarantino fanboy but I'm always amazed at his work. The buildup was a bit slow but by the end you're sucked in.[/spoiler868470c304]

Saw it on Saturday. It was awesome! Liked Death Proof better, although Planet Terror kicked some ass as well. Death Proof does seem a little slow at first, but it's worth it for the ending ) DEFINITELY see this in theatres if you plan on watching it. It will NOT be the same on your home TV.
