Found an Americans Drivers Lisence / MasterCard

Hello, i've found a flordia drivers lisence and mastercard out clubbing the other night, i want to return it or notify the owner of me finding it etc, how do i go about doing so as i'm australian i would'nt know what to do lol,..

What should i do ?

For the Mastercard call Mastercard and tell them what happened. I'm not quite sure what you'd do with the license. I suppose you could call the DMV and tell them that you found a lost license...

Good for you. Since you have the persons' license you should be able to look up their phone number from their address, unless they don't have a listed landline. Of course you could also mail it to them. Since you're in Australia it would cost you money, and if you just found it then they're probably not back home yet. You might contact the club and see if anybody is calling to look for it, or let them know in case the person comes back looking.

If you're willing to call the states, you could contact the Florida DMV and let them know. Or e-mail them, I'm sure they have a web/e-mail presence.

Most likely, if the person has half a clue, they've canceled their CC so it's probably worthless to try to get it to them. You could also contact their bank at the number on the back of the card and let them know, then they could contact the owner.

Thanks dmorris much appreciated, i'll just give the dmv a call from my work phone and they can sort out the mastercard aswell, she would of probably cancled it, ok, now to make this call, i'll let yous know how it goes. !!!

Actually, he hasnt exactly said he hasnt used the Mastercard. I bet he drained it and just wants to be nice by returning it. P

My sisters debit card info got stolen from the Tj Maxx computer things, that's what she gets for shopping there )

and her Amex got, idk, but someone bought a plane ticket, she canceled their flight back though )

Called the dmv, and called the number on the back of the mastercard she has cancled the card and that's all good to go, and the dmv is re-issuing her a new one..

Heh, i'd never use anyone elses money, i believe in a thing called paying it forward you do a good thing for someone and then they will probably do a good thing for another complete stranger, if everyone did this the world would be a better place lol, i've been doing it ever since i saw the movie paying it forward, and thanks for the +karma guys, heh

Ive lost my i.d. before. I got a notice in the mail about it.

in the states they will, if you ever find a drivers liscence just drop it in a mailbox and it'll get returned no problems, but in australia, who knows
