Make sure you take a video camera, with tons of battery or if able to bring your charger snow trips are the funnest thing to film, although i always end up hospitalized that's not the point lol, have fun tjwor !!

Lol @ Skiing noobs ;) How long are you going to be gone? When you get up there definitely find someone with a season pass and have him buy you buddy-passes (cost about 50% less) or find scalpers (volunteer ski patrol are often payed with lift tickets) you can save a ton that way. If you are going to be skiing for 5 days or more, it actually would have been cheaper to buy a season pass last summer (approx. $250) lol Have fun!

BTW Get some goggles, sunglasses suck.

i found someone who would sell us tickets for %40, so we are getting each day for $20 instead of the $49 at the ticket counter...

As for the goggles, I will probably do that, i remember from the past that sunglasses tend to fog over and that really sucks...

thanks for the help! I'll check this once more before I leave in the morning (or maybe tonight after I get done drinking)

It shouldn't be too cold, but sunglasses always suck, especially if you fall. Also, they make you look like a tourist (trust me). You can get pretty cheap goggles as www.steepandcheap.com, but it's too late for that now. So I would just check places along the way, and try and stick with Oakleys or Smiths, because if it does get cold, cheap goggles show their true colors.
BTW I think a Monarch season pass is only like $175, maybe less (for future reference)

Some resorts do not allow the ipod on the actual slopes. Apparently it a hazard to all of those around you. Have you ever skiied before. If so, what class skis are you going to get?

I have never heard that before, and I ski at least once a week, I think that policy only stands for those wearing 12 year old University of Texas jackets ;) If you suck at skiing, don't listen to your iPod lol

I spent 2 years living in Lake Louise Alberta skiing every day. I think I skied a total of 320 over the 2 years. I still work part time as a ski instructor. Unfortunately, after you have a family, the skiing at fun mountains stops!

P.S.
Have fun on the trip.
